I absolutley adored 'Tess'. Hans as Alec was perfect, in fact, the whole cast were perfect.

The language is Dutch. The Belgian tv channel één is showing Tess of the d'Urbervilles on Tuesday 17th of March (part 1 of 4). The article gives a summary of the film.

The extra on the region 2 DVD, "Angels and Demons: The Making of Tess". It's about 25 minutes and has interviews with all the main cast, producer, director and scriptwriter. It's really really interesting, the last couple of minutes are of them all saying something funny, now I personally think Eddie and Hans are hilarious, the interviewer didn't seem to know what to say to Hans.

yeah the extra's on region 2 are great they all looked like they had a great time filming it I like it when gemma areaton falls while she's running, I was thinking on all the extra's I've seen with interview's with hans in them Virgin queen, Zhivago, tube tales and tess he's still in Character with each one, on virgin queen he's a little (dare I say) arogant, zhivago he's quite poetic, and on tess (nobility)I just get that impression, I supose that shows what a good actor he is.

Yeah, I do love that bit when Gemma falls. I agree, he does seem to stay in character, very talented.

I was so annoyed on sunday when tess of the durbervilles was not nominated for a bafta or won any awards, it was an excellent piece of drama well acted and beautifull to look at, but what I did notice when they show the reel when people have died i saw harold pinter(mojo) I forgot that he passed away last year.

Great video Lynette!
Laura, can you confirm if the Hans' interview on this video is the same as on "Angels and Demons: The Making of Tess"?

It is the same interview Cat. Of course it is. That will teach me to post a question without noticing, or realising, that Hans is in fact, wearing one of the costumes that he does in Tess! *tuts*

just finished watching Tess of the d'urbervilles on the youtube. Wow...I feel for ALec even though he's quite a complicated bad character. Hans matheson had make him so alive especially his lust and passion for tess. The scene when he heard from tess about his dead infant was most touching. But alas his character had to die a terrible death in the end.

Lynette, here's the complete version of that picture! Thanks, as usual, to Mariana at Gemma Arterton Online, who's been the source of much goodness.
