I've just watched that Life On Mars clip. I loved the bit where the guy says "who?" when Sam says its Marc Bolan!
Anyway....Was that Hans' brother? The clip isn't all that great so I couldn't really tell.
With regards to Ado. I guess if he hasn't updated his website since 2003, there wouldn't really be much point in keeping the site up and running. It's good that he's kept hold of the domain name though.

Yes, it was really his younger brother Will as Marc Bolan. I saw the preview like you too. But it is certain similarity between them. Mr. Ado Matheson still surprise us with something new.

Please don't pirate this music. The Matheson family spent their hard earned money to produce this CD and it is available for purchase. Please pay for their efforts. We don't deserve to have if shared if we reciprocate by stealing it when we can buy it, particularly If we hope for any more Matheson music to be shared with us.

I am with Gg on this. It is unfair that so many people nowadays download music from the internet rather than buying an artists CD. Ado would have invested a lot of his time and money in making Out On The Islands, so I think it's only fair that people who like what they hear from him should buy his CD. Music piracy is a HUGE issue for musicians these days, and it's nothing but theft.
Lynette,
would you respectfully remove the links that you have posted to the download page of Ado's music both from this thread, and the DOWNLOAD thread.
Thank you!

It's bad, I agree, but I did not give his music for free download on the internet. I am not a pirate... I delete links of course, because I do not want to be here because of the muggy atmosphere. Who will want, as you will find these links on the Internet somewhere else, we do not nothing with it.

That is him in a small role as "Charlie"! It's kind of funny too, because it's easy to confuse with "CONTROL" with two of Hans' old co-stars, the amazing Samantha Morton, and gloriously beautiful and talented Alexandra Maria Lara, in the black and white film about the same 70's band, and a film that garnered more than one BAFTA nom in its year (2007)! I get them confused for that reason! Alexandra Maria Lara went on to become engaged to Sam Reilly, the lead!
However "JOY DIVISION" is about the aftermath of WWII... not quite the same plot then!

I read reviews about this film, which plays a minor role his brother Will, but they were not very flattering.

Hi, I watched the film last night i wasn't going to but I thought after writing it here, I should William is in a little scene at a party and doesn't have any lines, I would not have reconised him if it wasn't for the picture of himself and his grandad, I must say though good looks definetly run in the family, he's got dark hair and a cool hair cut like Hans but does look a little different from his older brother. The film I liked it was quite hard to watch at times but I thought was very well acted by most of the actors, the scenes from the second world war where horrific and I cried at a few of the scenes, it's worth watching if you can.

I must say I 'enjoyed' Joy Division, as much as one can enjoy a film like that. I thought Ed Stoppard was brilliant in it. I had to rewind to see Will and after dragging my mum in to see if she thought he looked like Hans we both decided that they don't look that alike...well I mean from what you can see of Will.
As for Control, that is quite honestly one of my favourite films ever. I loved the whole cast. Although I must say I'm coming to the end of the book 'Touching From A Distance' written by Deborah Curtis, Ian's wife and I can't help but wish the film had been slightly more true to the book. I don't think watching the film is enough to give someone a true insight to what Ian was really like, the book however is extremely difficult to read and understand what Ian and Deborah actually lived like and what they went through.
