Did you see Dean Lennox Kelly, who was also in Deathwatch besides heaps of other things, delivering the pizza? That was his whole appearnace in the film, yet we only get glimpses of Hans Still one of his best - and I believe one of his personal favourites too.

Oh wow, I can't say I noticed Dean Lennox Kelly. You've just given me another excuse to watch the film again :-)

Sorry about the delay, Brooke An article from an old copy of Empire magazine has come Brooke's way and the transcript in now on the site. Serious Thesp turns rock god for Still CrazyThe picture they used was one and the same as the one recently on Ebay so I linked it to that picture. There's also a larger copy of the picture from Mojo used in The Face article, again, courtesy of Brooke. Thanks a million Brooke.

After my initial doubts as to whether I would like this film or not, I decided to go and buy it. It took me a few days to get around to watching it, but I finally got chance last night. And basically, in a nutshell, my initial doubts were completely unfounded. I thought this film was excellent and I really enjoyed watching it.

Doubts founded on what, cat? Is this not your kind of music? Or are you not a fan of comedies? When I read the casting list I knew I would love it. Timothy Spall and Bill Nighy I have seen in so many films, in my eyes they can do no wrong. And Juliet Aubrey made a deep impression in the adaptation of Middlemarch, my all time favourite book.

Brooke, no I quite like that kind of music and the fact that it was a comedy didn't bother me either. I think it was more a case of not really knowing what to expect, but in saying that, I was expecting this to be Spinal Tap part 2 (but with different actors). Now I've watched SC, that certainly wasn't the case at all.
I thought Bill Nighy was brilliant as Ray! And as for Juliet Aubrey, I wondered why she looked familiar. I've seen Middlemarch as well.

I'm glad that you like Spinal Tap! There's nothing wrong with that. I have this comfort zone of what I like to watch and to begin with, SC fell outside of that comfort zone. I wanted to add that there is, IMO, something really heartwarming when Karen finds Brian again after believing him to be dead for so many years!

Oh I'm glad you enjoyed it Cat! I thought you would. I love that scene when Karen sees Brian and she goes 'Is there anything in the royalties to say I can't give you a hug?' makes my heart melt.

I did, it was very good. The ending was brilliant. I don't think that the film could have ended in any other way than what it did tbh.

I was just over on IMDb, well a couple of weeks ago now and was on the Still Crazy message board and couldn't help but notice people saying a sequel would be interesting. I personally would love to see a sequel, whether it's achievable is another thing.

I think that continuation would not have as good. Usually it is in films.

It'll be interesting to see if it shows up on HBO comedy again, I want to see it, I usually like movies like that...New Testement though I keep thinking there's something about that sounds familiar...I know there's a John Simm movie of the same direction isn't here? I dunno....I still want to see this though
