Hi Lynette,yeah, i watched the 2 versions of Tess 1979 and 1998 and in both Tess kills Alec with a knife in his heart and she escapes with Angel but finally she is convicted of murder and hanged in the prison, is very sad the end, in fact all the books of Thomas Hardy are very depressing i think

I think when he says: I was firm as a man can be until I saw those eyes. He mean that after he saw her again it made him think of how much he loved her (if he actually did). I spose he changed from a preacher to a crazy man again. especially love the bit where he talks about having a son - ver sweet

I love the accent, David tennant has a scottish accent to and thats very HOT! ;D Hans does deserve an ocsar.

Sorry to be picky, but Hans doesn't have a Scottish accent in Tess. The only role where he uses a Scottish accent is Half Light.

Despite being born in Scotland he has lived most of his live in the south of England. Judgung from the behind the scenes interviews on the DVDs of Doctor Zhivago, Virgin Queen abd Tube Tales, he doesn't usually speak with a Scottish accent, though I daresay he changes according to who he's speaking with.

Oh for an Oscar- worthy role. A movie that gets wide cinema release would be a good start!
