Hi my name is Nelleke, I'm turning eighteen next week and I live in the Netherlands. I saw Hans for the first time in The Mists of Avalon, about three years ago. I'm an absolute history (especially Arthurian) freak (that why I'll be majoring it at University next year), and I was just blown away by him. I started searching for information on him but couldn't find it, so I let it rest for a while, and then about a year later I saw Dr. Zhivago. Again blown away. And now I've finally found a good resource site and see he's doing a film with Demi Moore so I'm all excited! So anyways; 'hi'

Hee Hee, time to introduce these wide-eyed young Hans fans to the delightfully scathing, deliciously malicious satire known as Television Without Pity! You'll never look at Mordred the same way again! (What the hell are you talking about JenoWhatIMean?) For those of you Mists fans who haven't seen this yet, go to Televisionwithoutpity.com and do a search for The Mists of Avalon. You'll come to a page with a list of articles. These are actually different chapters of an absolutely hilarious, 32 page satire of the Mists of Avalon. Click on "Just Close Your Eyes and think of England Pg 1, and go from there. The second half is the group of chapters entitled "The Sun never sets on the TNT Original Movie" If you're like me and believe satire is the highest form of flattery, you'll love this. But if you can't bear seeing our dear boy being made fun of and having his sterling reputation sullied, then read no further. Enjoy!

Hi, I'm Karen and I first saw Hans without really knowing it was him in Les Miserables.
But the most exciting revelation was to see him in Doctor Zhivago! He is SOO fantastic in that-no one could do it better.
I then tried to get some more films of his, but I live in the U.S.A. so it seems more difficult, especially to get his tv films I've heard of.
I heard of his new film with Demi Moore-I hope that he becomes a big new star, so we can really enjoy him.(here in the states)

Well, I've been a long time fan of the book The Mists of Avalon, so when I heard there was a film (by then it wasn't on tv anymore) I began my worship of Mr. Matheson. Later, I watched Dr. Zhivago obsessively, not realizing who Zhivago was for an almost pathetically long period of time... so yes...I am quite glad that he's not alone with just one fan (because someone who can't act *Cough hack* Orlando Bloom *Cough Hack* seems to be taking over this whole blessed world!). So yes...jolly good...

Lupin Moon 13- "obsessive" that's a good word for how often I watch Dr. Zhivago. How often do you watch it? I guess I just think of him as the ideal man, and recently I can't get the image out of my head, sensitive, ok, so he cheated, but always passionate about what he does. Just some thoughts, Karen

Hi everyone, my name's Elisa and I live in Belgium. When I saw Hans the first time on tv (it was in 'Les Misérables'), he immediately caught my attention. A year later I saw him in 'Mists of Avalon' and realised this was someone to follow more closely. There aren't many films of him available and it was hard to find a good site. But I managed to find one and here I am.

hey hey! well I'm new to this forum..I'm marloes and I live in the Netherlands. I'm 16 years old and I first saw hans in doctor zhivago. I felt completely in love with the story and I loved hans' acting. It was on the tv and it was a few weeks for my birthday, and since his films are hard to get I was very happy with the DVD i got on my 16th birthday . last month I saw nero because it was also on tv. I recorded it and now I'm searching for his other films . I'm very happy you made this site because, like everyone said, there's not very much information to find and I think you should go on with this site. It's very good

Hi,
I'm not so new, i registerd a while ago but had some troubles with getting my account activated.
My name is Carla, i'm 23 and live in the netherlands. My first hans-movie was mists of avalon. I am a really big fan of the book so i was really exited when the movie came out. I've seen it several times but only recently i started to look for some info on hans. He stood out for me, everytime i watched mists of avalon.
I have also seen les miserables, Nero and I am Dina (great movie!) I really would love to see comfortably numb and the rest of his movies but they are very hard to come by here for some reason.

Welcome Carla! There are a number of links to purchase the other films on the site. If you have difficulties, go to the HansMafia thread and we can help you out. Sometimes we have to order DVD for each other and send them along, so don't be afraid to tell us what you need and we can try to help you if we are able.

Hey Every One... I'm a new fan too! I just recently seen HALF LIGHT. It was one of the greatest movies ever made. Here in America, there's not that many good movies because they are all so alike. In this movie everything was so diffrent and unexpected. I think Hans is a great actor who is absolutyleyyyyyy handsom. Now I'm atracted to guys with British accents!

Welcome! I think you're the first new fan that has checked in on this forum after first seeing Hans in HL. Though I'm sure there are many more lurking. Just curious, what made you pick up the DVD in the first place, was it because it was a Demi Moore movie? Or the genre?

Bonsoir! Well, actually, it depends what time zone you all are in, but it's currently 9:34 pm here in the Eastern time zone, so I'll stick with bonsoir. My name is Kelsea, and my first Hans movie was Les Mis. I disliked the movie at first because it was not a musical, but, after I got over that, I enjoyed Hans's performance as Marius. Although...I'm still an Enjolras fan. ^^ TO THE BARRICADE!
...Now then.
I was more recently seen today double-posting on the guestbook of Starkiller's fanlisting, so, if you wish to see more of my ramblings, I have two shortlived posts there. I am eagerly awaiting to get this post over with so that I can reply to more boards, so I'll keep it short. Though...it doesn't seem very short, does it? Oh well.
I am known for my fear, ruthless effeciency, and an almost fannatical devotion to the Pope. >.> With that said, I'm hoping at least one person here is a fan of Monty Python. You will soon find that I rant and rave constantly of Broadway and acting. As that is what I do. Acting, I mean. ^^ And roleplaying.
I'll stop taking up space now and say goodbye. Goodbye.
