I'm glad things are looking stable. That could be a good sign! Thank you for emotional support, Cat! I strongly hope that this should be so. Many people here does not have a roof over head, within a few minutes they lost everything .. It's sad.

Yes, it is sad. I've seen lot of people on the news over here that have got caught up in the floods and lost everything. I can only imagine how that must feel.

global warming but seriously -- it has been crazy all over hasn't it? We've been lucky over here for the most part but there have been tornados dropping down daily it seems.
I just remember being in Glastonbury in 2004 and they were playing then, and it seems every year since. I might look back in the archives!

Our planet is destroyed. One of our well-known fortune-teller predicted disaster for this year. Local floods, earthquakes and strong gales. It will be worse.

BTW...Tornados in New York? Seriously? We get tornados over here in the UK but not on the grand scale that you guys have them. But getting back to the subject of the Glastonbury Festival, I saw a bit of it on the tv the other night. The atmosphere of it was quite infectious. It made me feel like I really wanted to be there!

I went to Glastonbury this year The thunder was really pretty actually, and it wasn't as wet as it has been in previous years to be honest. Its our young farmers job to tow vehicles when it gets wet, so a dry weekend means an easy job I live really close, so its nothing big for me tho - basically grew up with it. Saw some really good people tho XD Deadmau5, NERD, Blur, David Guetta, Lilly Allen, Lady Gaga - the list goes on! Thank the lord it was quite sunny, i got so badly sun burnt - and i spent the whole weekend in a tutu, baseball jersey and a cowboy hat!! Lydia xxx

Lydia said..."i spent the whole weekend in a tutu, baseball jersey and a cowboy hat!!" (still figuring out the quote thingy!)
Ahhh...Festival attire. We just got back from the Vancouver Folk Music Festival (much smaller than Glastonbury) but many different people, ages and attire and great music from all over the world! Favourite band was Los De Abajo from Mexico City, but also saw the Proclaimers, Arrested Development and many great Canadian acts! It was an eye opener for the kids but a great time by all! The boys were just happy to see their uncle play for the first time.
Had to laugh...my youngest wore a tye-dyed shirt to the festival one day and was continually complemented...."nice shirt little dude!" My other son made a remark that "the 'cigarettes' in Vancouver really smell funny."
