Oh my I really have raised your hopes it is near me but when I looked at the map I was thinking of a different place which is a village about half an hour from me, Llanberris where the quarry is actually 3 and half hour drive from me through the mountains a bit to far for my terrible driving. thanks for all your advice though I wish it was closer I would have gone to look but I am a bit shy, to have chatted up any security or to have shouted or god forbid stalked anyone. I am really sorry for getting your hopes up if I hear of any local news I will post anything that I hear for sure. Funnily enough by chance I don't know if anyone in the uk saw it tonight but songs of praise where doing a programme from north wales and the presenter was at the slate quarry if you want to watch here's the link.http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00l94s9/Songs_of_Praise_Wales/ I must admit I don't usually watch this programme but when i watched it I thought wow clash of the titans is gonna look spectacular the quarry bit is at 5.35 if you don't want to watch the whole show.

@virg hey at least it isn't Hugh Dancy this time... ( ) "clash" seems to be getting more steam at the moment at least! lolly -- it would've been fun if you had gotten to take a look, but hey -- we'll all be seeing it as we are meant to in 9 short months!

When I clicked on the first link Virgil my initial reaction was wow. And your right, that is a fantastic location. I can really see why it was chosen!

That rules me out as well. I don't think the make up artists would appreciate having to cover over my tattoos with make up, only to have it washed off by cold water swimming!

Love the pictures of the locations, it looks like it's going to be a great film.

I hate swimming in cold water, BRR Generally I would agree with you on this Lynette. But taking into account all the hot weather the UK has had recently, cold water swimming suddenly becomes quite appealing!

This is also a rarity. The weather is crazy.
