My apologies if this has been discussed before, but I think I may have found copies of this for sale on Amazon UK, although the info for it is scarce to say the least. If anyone on here is more familiar with this, can you confirm or not whether this is the version that Han's was in? Poldark DVD

Save your money - that's not the one. Poldark wasa successful series which had a couple of seasons I think. The one Hans is in was a movie-legth sequel. It stars Ioan Gruffudd so if you find a version with him in, tha'll be the one. Sometimes they have it on ebay in VHS.
Glad you liked your cake!

Actually, on checking again, I think Lynette is right It is about the children Jeremy and Clowance. Clowance is played by Kelly Reilly, of Pride and Prejudice and Mrs Henderson Presents fame, and who will also be in Sherlock Holmes. She (Clowance) was quite fond of Hans' character until this other guy comes along - and poor Ben Carter is besotted by her. It was the title and the cover that threw me. It's only a fiver.

I own this DVD and it's the right one! It has Dutch subtitles which can be turned off.

Thanks for all your input everyone! I have been digging around on Amazon and checking the cast list on IMDB since I started this thread, and I now know that this is the right Poldark. Which is probably a good thing as I've just bought it.

You're in for a treat. Although Hans is not on screen often enough.

I have this but I haven't had the time to watch it. After seeing that pic it's very tempting to watch now.

I've got this on VHS, so I don't think I'll bother getting it on DVD as Hans isn't on screen enough really.

Can someone, who has seen this movie please explain to me, what these two sticks, hanging from the chest are? I have absolutely no idea, as there is no reference made to them in this scene. Is this something special for English miners? I may be imagining this, but I think when walking I can hear a clicking sound, like they were made of wood.

They don't specifically mention them in the film that I can remember -- the look a bit like candles to me?!
