Who knows, we'll have to wait and see. I'll keep it in mind if I see anything else about further casting. And as these two actors are considered the front runners (but haven't officially signed) who knows -- casting changes all the time and this isn't coming out until March 15, 2013. This film is said to have killed development of Guy Ritchie's "EXCALIBUR". Principle photography doesn't start in London until January -- a thousand things can change in that time, so there is no telling. Time will tell. It would be nice if he would make new role. It is a repeat of the same article again, that you first posted, just published again, from a different source. So it is not new information, but I think we can let go of this one. There have surely been a number of these scenarios that have played out without our even knowing about it. Which is probably for the better -- enough of a fishbowl as it is. Imagine if the whole world was told if you or I went on a job interview and then wasn't hired...guh. That would be mighty hard on the ole ego. Humiliating even. It's just the way things go. For all of us.

I don't think we'll have many nay-sayers on this board where the Arthur role is concerned, but time will tell! Looks like it will be going to the person who has the best reading opposite Joel Kinnaman. Wouldn't it be interesting to have a mythic father AND his son on your acting resume?!
Dobkin describes the character as;
"Arthur’s superpower is compassion and vision".
Sounds right on the money for certain people's abilities to me Iroloo...
Still curious to see what this contemporary comedy angle will be like and there was a good bit of speculation in this article. You wouldn't necessarily expect the "Wedding Crashers" guy to be doing something like this, it is true.

The THR (The Hollywood Reporter) article is now being picked up everywhere -- imdb, 411, all over, so no worries posting unless there is new information!
