Thanks for that laura I do appreciate it. we're learning little things here and there....and one of the doctors on staff took a look at my arm and laughed when I told him what the urgicare guy told me. According to him "If thats staph I'm a monkey's uncle" and told me it's likely a side effect of the scar tissue that's so thick around there, I might be loosing a stitch or something that's been lost in my body for 24 years...god knows.
But.....keep taking the antibiotic.
I hate having to come home alone....

Sorry to hear you are having such a bad time. That sucks.
Just remember to think positive - things don't have to be worst case scenario - It's just no good when you need to be your most supportive and then you need support yourself.

I'm sorry to hear that things are not going well presently. But like Virgil says, staying positive in trying times such as these is the best thing to do. I wish both you & Kristy a safe and speedy recovery!

We may have figured out what the hell is going on with Kristy and it's coming all down to a dead bird that's been in our air vent. It's been in there for a while and since my lungs have weird enzymes and everything is different for me than it is for her - she's the normal one - and they think she might have some kind of infectious disease caused by a dead bird.
BUT we don't know
As for me, my arm is apparently a blister that opened up and got bruised...or something and it just got infected. No biggy....but I'm still on the horse pills. I'm sitting in the hospital at the moment.

A dead bird in the vent will make for a really good c0cktail party story... in about 5 years when you are both healthy and can laugh at it!!

She's been getting more than just green jello, the ice cream is great.

Thanks Lynette....I do realize a messageboard is not the place for most of this but when there's no one home for me to talk to....I got to do something.
I'm heading to the hospital today...soon and we should know more, the infectious disease guy is going today.

To give a quick update, she's been moved into a room with someone (she wanted a private) and after a mild panic attack and disgruntled nurses, all seems to be better. Still waiting to see if she goes up a floor or down a floor but we don't know much right now.

Soul...happy to hear things are better. Hopefully Kristy will be home soon!
Went to Riverdance this week...the dancing was amazing and the music fantastic. I think they could have used a bigger stage at times though...there were times when they seemed quite crowded. As an ensemble, they could barely stand across the whole front of the stage. The performance was at one of the older theatres in Toronto. Some of the others are larger. Still had a fantastic time though with my friend...dinner, bottle of wine, great performance...what more could I ask for?
