I currently have a craving for pancakes! It more than likely has something to do with the fact that it's almost pancake day, here in the UK.

Cat...I hope you are enjoying your pancakes today!!! I might make them for dinner tonight!
Well...I found my way out of the basement. What's the saying...you need to make a mess to get rid of a mess! Five garbage bags, 3 donation bags, 3 bags for consignment, and 1 bag of recycling later!!! And...I'm still not done. That was just one corner!!! Ohhhh what a sad state!
I did find some interesting things though. Yes...a couple of high school love letters from an ex-boyfriend. Some newspaper clippings of friends that achieved some amazing things. A fantastic letter from a friend who was a Peacekeeper during the falling of the Belin Wall. Some really sweet letters from my Grandmother. Some pictures with really bad 80's hair! And apparently I liked sweaters and high collared frilly shirts! Found my elementary school copy of "The Outsiders." Still one of my favourite books. Also came across some other fantastic books that I forgot I owned. We apparently have a great Spanish literature collection too that I didn't know about. Oh...old and I'm talking OLD victrolla records which I am sure are worth something. Not sure what to do with them yet! AND the list goes on! I'll keep you apprised if I find anything really worth value...although the memories ranked up there pretty good!

Jenny, thanks! I really enjoyed my pancakes, they are so nice with maple syrup and vanilla ice cream. God, that sounds so unhealthy. Hope yours were nice too!
You have certainly made a good start with your basement clean out. All I've done is to get rid of a few unwanted dvd's. I also found a huge bag filled with teddy bears! They are all now looking for new homes. Might ebay these bears!

My job search is over!! I've just been offered a permanent contract in TK Maxx, the clothes store. I got offered a 20 hour contract, there were only a few of them and over a hundred people went for the jobs. I am so pleased!!

Thanks Jenny I've been unemployed since the beginning of the year after finishing a Christmas temporary job and I've never felt so useless in my life. Fortunately this is a permanent contract and there are opportunities for progression into management which is exactly what I want. Retail fashion is most definitely my thing after working in a shoe store last year. Beats selling people their daily papers!

I just read in the newspaper that Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts and Rachel Weisz are in town filming the movie "Dream House" at the park where I got married. This is a big thing in our little town of 200,000.

That's great! Love Rachel Weisz, she was amazing in 'The Lovely Bones'. We never get anything here. Oh I think one or two episodes of the new series of Shameless were filmed about 5 minutes from where I live, gives you all an idea of what our area is like!
