I love my button up pants but it never fails that the middle one is undone almost all the time. I didn't actually mean anything by it *yikes* but I just happened to see it and sort smirk...I actually just meant it's little clothing malfunctions that kind of help remind you that actors are human and not some god stuck at the top of a podium for all the world to watch.

I hate to say it but I was gonna ask if that was his girlfriend....Shows you know much I know..

Sometimes it just makes me wonder if people get so tired of being primped and poked that when they're just going out to something (and he looks d**n good for what amounts to jeans and a dress shirt) the mirror is the last thing on their mind. His hair is short enough there's probably not much he's got to do to it, and it never looks crunchy and nasty like someone who's wearing far too much gel so...maybe he's just lucky enough to look like that in the morning. How we all wish we were so lucky.....

OMG...i just watched the "running naked thru the wilderness" scene.*GASP* Its so downright embarassing..I feel embarassed for him too, such a huge sacrifice on the part of the actor- to strip and to streak with the "whole world" i.e Anna Friel and the production crew watching!!!! *GASP*. Hans has passed the ultimate test of being a great actor, though I could see the genuine embarassment and shyness on his face as he strip, thought he was blushing even. Am being to be more detail conscious, like lynette...hahaha

This is my favorite scene. Most amusing of the entire film. Hans was not red from shame. Bathory film is filmed in the Czech Republic.



For large heat. Was around the 40... Just tropical weather. Assistants to actors icing water.

i see, lynette....40 deg??? very hot. i can hardly take it here in Singapore when its above 32 deg, i need the air con whole day!!!! today its 32 i almost died.

As for the pic from the Nero press conference, or whatever it was, I can't remember if I ever noticed the fly button or I just didn't think much about it.

I think he is! In all the pictures of Hans, where he's not in costume, he never strikes me as the kind of guy who spends much time being primped and preened and hardly the fashionista. he usually is dressed pretty much like your brother, your boyfriend, the boy next door in regular clothes. Even in those photshoot pics he's not wearing designer clothes (as far as I can tell).

And I've certainly never thought of him as 'older' - in fact I think he looked quite young for his age until recently. I like the comment that Andy Serkis makes in his Deathwatch DVD commentary that Hans is "far too goddlooking for his own good." I take that to mean that he isn't really comfortable with the attention his looks bring and that he is, as has been said about Johnny Deep, "a character actor trapped in a leading man's body".

Oh look I just noticed my typo - I typed goddlooking instead of goodlooking. I'm not going to correct it ;D

I think also that he always has his own clothing. It has its own distinctive style of dressing. He almost always wears the same thing. He is modest in terms of clothing. He preferred to invest their money in the music, it is his passion.

Yes, yes. In year 2006 it was unusual heat. In winter, the actors suffered cruel frost. It was challenging for all of the staff.

what makes me smile about that is in the "movie about the movie" Bathory, that Hans is saying "MOST embarrassing moment" (puffing on his cigarette) right around the 7 minute mark

The BTS segment on that scene is better than in the film itself!

But as Virg says -- hardly the first nudity, not likely the last. And after all he is an actor, with an agent,... I'm sure it garners no more than a eye-roll and maybe a gaffaw. Imagine how silly he'd think the button fly dicussion was. But we are silly!

I hope he'd find it silly and endearing and not just completely uncomfortable, but there is no telling. I can't imagine being in that position, having people publically discussing your button fly or whatever. Your performances, sure, you put those out there... but this has nothing to do with pics now does it? Wish I had a new one to post!

I saw many of his films. Hans is a discovery for me after 3 years.
