Not a discussion of the great classic - though it may yet become one.
No, in late December, your humble webmistress departs the shores of the Antipodes for her condensed version of the Grand Tour. At this stage it's London, Paris, Rome, Florence and Venice. I've been doing all the internet research I can, and plans are falling into place but I'm open to all the handy hints and do's and don'ts that you people are aware of. What not to miss, what to give a big miss etc.
Alas time and money are severely limiting my ideal scenario but i've waited a long time for this opportunity - and yes, I DO know that it's not the best time to go, but that's when I get my long summer break
Post here also all your travel stories, your stuff ups and serendipitous surprises. Did I ever tell you about that time I went to see the snow monkeys and .........
