For me, Hans would be short, I measured 167 cm .. ;D

I know this is an old question, but I always find it interesting when people ask about men's height, especially actors/singers/performers etc. I don't think 5ft 9in is particularly short. I guess there's always a thing about height, even in today's world. I remember meeting Ryan Sampson from After You've Gone last year and I had wedges on which made me about 5ft 8in, I'm 5ft 5in normally and I knew he was only 5ft 4in. When stood next to him I just crouched down, and didn't realise I was doing it until someone asked if I was OK!

In Dr Zhivago, The Christmas Candle and Jericho, Hans looked to me like he must be at least a medium sort of height. But then I saw his music video Take it by the Reins and was surprised at how tiny he was! I think he’s very small and slim in real life. But in a sweet way. I don’t mind at all. I’m a skinny 4 foot 11 female so whenever I see other small men and women I think at least I’m not alone 😊.
