Tonight I´m going to try and watch Bodywork. That is if I manage to get the kids in bed. It´s funny How they always seem to remember stuff they need to do just before bedtime Lotta

Hi Lotta!
Another mum on board! I know the situation, when you have to wait until kids fall asleep very well. Now they are older and are able to read the "do not disturb" notice on the door. (Good idea -though I never used...) However they step in giving me a dirty look: "Oh no -watching this again..."

Yes another mum on board.I have a boy who´s 5(6) and a girl 8(9) they are the joy of my life. But sometimes I could give them away for free lol. But I guess you know what I´m talking about. Anyway I got to see Bodywork last night. I LOVED IT!!!! It´s my kind of humor. The swedish title for Bodywork is: Blåst på 10 sekunder andif you translate it in to english it would be: fooled in 10 seconds.Lotta xx

I watched this film without reading the reviews and absolutely loved it. The comedy in it is brilliant, Dolittle is such a sweetie. I don't know if it's just because I have an odd taste in films, I always end up liking things other people don't, but to me, it is possibly one of the best films I have watched. OK, so there are flaws in the script, I don't deny that but that's what makes it so interesting.
The scene when Virgil runs into the window at work just makes me giggle everytime I see it. I've watched it a few times now and even though I know exactly what is going to happen, I still sit there going "Oh don't die Tiffany!" (maybe that's just me)
That trailer on the website really makes the film look good, I love the little bit at the end where you hear Hans laughing. The saucepan scene is classic, I'm assuming it's because Virgil and Fiona were 'roleplaying' and he fell asleep with his 'crown' on.
Charlotte Coleman was undoubtedly one of the best actresses ever in my opinion. (I couldn't believe she was dead when I read about it a couple of weeks ago.)
I read one review on IMDB where someone mentioned the lead character and said how bad he was but that he would make girls drool, if we ever saw him in anything else. I wonder if that person has watched any of Hans' other projects?
Anyway, this film is probably more my type of film than anything else Hans has ever done.
Lotta, I had to get the Swedish version with that title and did wonder what it meant. Luckily, it's not dubbed, so I could enjoy the film.

I can add little to what has already been said, only that I felt greatly entertained and that Hans looked very good, even in a Barbie T-Shirt. The credits at the end though were a challenge: "Legs" I figured out easily, I did eventually spot the "Bored Knitter", but where is the "Skin Head"?

I forgot to mention: it was strange to see Hans wearing an overall - or does one say jumpsuit- of the Bundeswehr (German Army) with the very uncommon name "Kernebeck" written on it.

I bought this a few weeks ago on Ebay. I don't like the cover of the US version at all. I thinking about printing the cover of the region 2 dvd and putting over it. What were they thinking! I hate to admit it, but I didn't really like the movie. It had some funny parts and he looked good, but overall it wasn't my favorite movie of his... or maybe, I couldn't get past the appalling cover to give it a fair chance.

Ok so I know I'm bringing this thread back from the depths of hell for something but after watching the trailer it looks really cool although there is one thing I hope to never hear again especially associated with that evil little grin of Hans' and that was the line at the very end of the trailer "makes you want to kill someone" and he grins. That's like...Helllo Clarice...from a man who pulls off creepy almost as well as Anthony Hopkins.
Anyhoo...you all are talking about the boxes, if Hans is an unknown (and sadly he still is) most people aren't going to pick up a box with an unknown and albeit "odd looking" (by american standards) man on the front, they want scantilly clad girls and idiotic men...it's just the way our American brains are wired...I'd personally rather have Hans...
Is this available anywhere that you all know of or like Bathory...if I find it it's a prized possession?

OH, but BODYWORK isn't that hard to find (netflix even, maybe)... and HE'S NOT on the cover -- for the American DVD, because we are so superficial and crass -- there are two models. The man is in a machine shop jumper, unbuttoned to the waiste, in order to show his buff abs, I think he is holding a blow torch or something ... the women is a blond in short shorts, her shirt also unbuttoned to the waiste to show off...well, not her abs... nothing whatsoever to do with the cast list, plot, or for that matter content of the film...

Thanks to Brooke and thanks Virgil! :)Great pictures. I think also that Hans would also be an excellent comic actor. He has probably prefer dramas. I do not want to be pedant, but for me does not image... - Page or Gallery 4, line 3, image 6 Page not found The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please try the following: If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly. - Click the Back button in your browser to try another link. - Use a search engine like Google to look for information on the Internet. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HTTP 404 - File not found Everything else is otherwise fine.

Well, yes and no. Virgil is a guy who can't take a trick - that's why when things go wrong for him, they do it in a big way. The Basis synopsis - Highlight the following text - spoilers ahead Virgil is a wanna be who idolises his 'friend' Alex. So his buys this old Jag from Dodgy Brothers which breaks down almost immediately. His girlfriend is a bit despairing of his continual incompetence and lack of ambition. Meanwhile a dead body is found in his boot - er trunk and Virgil gets arrested. He's been set up of course. Why? WHo knows. Anyway he goes on the run and is hit by a car - a stolen car driven by Tiffany who sells stolen cars for a living. He hides there - it's her Barbie shirt he's wearing. He decides to help with the stolen car business and meanwhile find out who set him up.
Meanwhile, he falls in love with Tiffany - his girlfriend has shacked up with Alex - who gives her the clap and it turns out Tiffany hasn't long to live.
Of course they find out that Alex is the bad guy who set Virgil up - because he can. This is not a movie without flaws In fact none of it really makes sense and the dialogue is really corny in places - lots of Dad jokes. But it's not without its charms
