Thanks Lynette - knew I could rely on you for the proofing! Fixed the two main gallery caps (the dreaded JPG/jpg issue) but can't find the original of the Behind the Scenes pic that's missing. Hopefully it's on a disk somewhere - unless someone else has a saved copy, cos I'm not sure when I'll get around to climbing up to the top of the sheleves and getting down my spare disk collection. This is O.K. If you do not find the file, nothing happens.

Right - I have a question! I'm planning to buy the DVD (obviously) and I'm getting a tiny bit confused as there seem to be at least 3 different DVD covers . Two of them are obviously the different regions but what's the third one?! There was a nice explanation with pics which one is which somewhere but for some reason I can't find that site now . So the stupid question is - which DVD has the most extras? I was going for the Region 2 one but it says it's only 99 mins which sounds like no extras at all. And then there's Region 1 which is whole 226 mins .

This is the one with Cast&Crew Interviews, no other extras though. 99 min is obviously a mistake; the main feature has subtitles.

Hey, I haven't seen that cover - is that the German release? Check out the covers I have seen at Hans Matheson Online's DVD Gallery- scroll down to the Zhivago section. The one I have is the Region 2 original UK release - region 2 - with the largely white cover. The only extras are the cast and crew interviews - well worth it for Hans' interview alone. To my knowledge, there are no other releases with more in the way of extras but, as Brooke has demonstrated, there are always new releases with more extras popping up. The running time you mentioned would be the whole programme. Although the show aired in the UK in three episodes, it's usually on two discs for the DVDs with the first two episodes on disk one and the final episode and the interviews on disk two. Still getting around to dealing with those interview pics, Brooke. It's "next weekend's chore". Finally, I had no idea this site was still live! I thought it had gone 'off-air' some time ago. The Poem section is worth checking out. maybe someone can capture and Youtube it?

The DVD with the "blue" cover is the newest UK release (2008), after the older one was discontinued. The only difference between the two seems to be the subtitles on the newer one. For some of our not native English speaking members that might be an advantage.
@tsv: just noticed, that play.com only wants half of the price amazon lists.
@virgil: I had no luck with the link from above. The site was forever loading. Too bad, because the picture looks very promising.

Thanks for the info, brooke and Virgil! Oh, wow! New releases, discontinuing, etc ... Far too complicated for the tiny winy brain of mine ! I followed brooke's Amazon link and the stuff is on it's way. You know, I don't really care anymore if I'm paying double (keep telling myself it's very much worth it ;D ). Just found today (by accident) Les Miserables in the nearby shop for the ridiculous price of 5 e .... The ironic thing is that I already ordered it last week from Amazon (hate that shop now ). BTW, I had no problems opening the link Virgil gave. The only thing there that's not working for me seems to be the interview section...

I was thinking how Charlotte Riley who played Cathy in Wuthering Heights would have made a good Lara, had she been acting then.
