Do we have already some members in South Africa? Surely there will be after the emission. In my case it was the Earl of Essex ("There is none so precious to me") who put me over the edge, so to speak. Hans' performance just left me speechless. Only a short time before I had seen the Helen Mirren version, when it was on TV and Hugh Dancy's Essex was in my opinion bland in comparison (although I really appreciate him in Daniel Deronda). Don't you just love it, the way QE1 says "Oh Robbie..." I just saw the version with Hugh Dancy, unfortunately ..  |

I just watched the cate blanchett version last night. Frankly, thought the setting and costumes are much more elaborate, I cant quite follow the Sir raleigh storyline. I missed the anne marie version so much, of course, Hans too, I ordered the code 1 version from amazon today believing God it will work out alright on my multi-player.

Oh but I don't think, the R1 version has the Making Of with the Hans interview, which is on the R2 release. But I'm not absolutely sure though.

In our television was in June this series. I was upset. Czech version is different than the British original - it was a form of a two-part film, each had 100 minutes. Czech version is truncated. For example - there were missing some scenes with Hans ...  |
