Hi all! Wondering if I could get up on the sharing bandwagon!! I don't have recording equip, but for anyone who hasn't seen, Dr. Zhivago (reg.2), Les Mis, Bodywork, Canone Inverso (reg.2) (I know a too small collection) but I'd be willing to send temporarily for recording (though I can record Les Mis on vhs) I am happy to pay shipping or whatever for Comfortably Numb, Nerone &/or I am Dina, (I can never seem to catch this last one on ebay) I can use NTSC or PAL on DVD or I do have vhs (I'm in the states tho) Not sure what I could trade, but I want to be fair. Let me know if anyone can help out there! Gotta get up to speed so I can get back into the topics Thanks!!!

Thanks to Virgil (a round of applause if you please), there now exists in the universe a NTSC copy of Nerone. If you would like to see three hours of Hans in pajamas, PM me and one will be sent your way.
Fair warning--Its all dubbed into Italian and the picture quality is only so-so (bad original broadcast over top of multiple transfers). However, it will tide the addicts over until its broadcast (or sold) over here--kinda like Matheson methodone.
Cheers!
Shars

I can get I am Dina for you though. It's the only Hans Matheson film that's easy to get in Sweden /Isabelle

I know this post is from last year but still hoping Shars is still around!!! If you are, any chance you can make another copy of Comfortably Numb? Or anyone else willing to make a copy for me? I live in California. You would make this Hans fan VERY happy!

Greetings all!
Yes, I am still alive and well. Now in your very best Dr. Frankenstein voices say "She lives!!!"
OK, now for business. As some of you know, lots of things will be changing for me within the next few months (big life overhaul kind of thing). One of the things changing will be the ability to do some kinds of tape/DVD dubbing (not all though). I will still have access to the professional stuff until May, so if any of you want copies of Hans' film and TV oeuvre, please let me know NOW!
This is a one time only offer--sans Ginsu knives!
Shars

Thanks for the super kind words Virgil! Well, its a loooong story behind my "way too premature mid-life crisis" but I'll still be a resident of Hans world. This has been too much fun, and all you posters are too nice, friendly, groovy (insert your own adjective here______) to not stick around. As for the Hans video/DVD booty, I'm always happy to help out other addicts. Just think of me as your Hans enabler. Oh, and you'll be the first to know if I win the lottery! Until then, please keep me and the rest of the Hansophiles updated on all your adventures out there in the real world. This goes for all of you!! ;D. Lets REALLY share the joy! If you don't believe me, check out this link (Gg's far too modest to brag so I'll do it for her!). www.nyfilmvideo.com/2004/la2004/laawardssep04.htmPenguin noogies, Shars

oh my, you've outted me! of course, it takes one (award winner) to know one! For anyone who doesn't know, our beloved Shars is a multi-faceted artist in her own right, and with much higher accolades than mine! She's just been modest -- and much longer than I have! from Matheson Mafia to the mutual admiration society -- but I think you're right -- we should celebrate each other when "sharing the joy" Good luck -- with the lottery at least, the rest, I suspect, is simply your destiny my friend. Hi Cathy, I don't know if Shars is still reading these boards, those posts are two years old... but you sure are starting with one of the most difficult to find Hans films...have you seen anything else besides Nerone? Half Light is still on the New Release shelves at Blockbuster...and a lot of what I am starting to think of as the "Hans classics" (I'm ducking as Virgil lobs a book at my head): Still Crazy, Mists of Avalon, Les Miserables, and Bodywork are relatively easy to find and rent or buy. All wonderful, immensely satisfying Hans roles, even if some of them are a bit small...but a lot of us first saw him in one of those and were hooked.... Welcome cathy

Hi! Yes...as a matter of fact, Half Light was the first film I saw. My husband rented it and brought it home (boy..is he sorry now! LOL). So I purchased that. Then I bought Dr. Zhivago (excellent), never saw the original, and frankly don't care too! Then I purchased Elizabeth I: Virgin Queen, I Am Dina..and just recently purchased Nero after renting it this past weekend. Fantastic actor. I know it's hard to get the "hard to get stuff.." but thought I'd try. Looking around for a copy of Canone Inverso, also..but realize I may have to purchase an all region DVD player for some of these.
If anyone can help, I'd be more than glad to pay for the time & effort and shipping. Thanks, again..and very glad to be here!

Oh...I forgot to mention...I just purchased Bodywork, also. Waiting to rent Les Mis...and I did watch Still Crazy...my husband enjoyed that one..he used to play in bands quite a bit, and is now preparing for a 25 yr. reunion with the band I met him in...so Still Crazy hit home..we really related to that movie!
