This guy has been responsible for the purchase of quite a few multi region players!
Don't forget you can usually watch other region DVDs on your computer - you get a few changes of region before it freezes on one region (and I believe there are hacks for when it does)
The idea of this section is, after all, to request those more difficult to find performances, rather those those you can rent or buy - even those often take dedication and research.
Your next project could be Stella Does Tricks which is not that difficult to locate. Very young Hans and not a happy film but IMO one of his best. There's a Russian copy of Canone Inverso on ebay at the moment and there are occasionally others. It's usually a Region 0 which should play on any Pal compatible machine.
Of course Comfortably Numb was never even released, your only hope is a copy of a copy of a copy .... I'm assuming cos you've seen Half Light, you're in the US, right? Sorry I can't help with tapes - I could only offer a PAL copy. Maybe some one else can.

Thanks, Virgil. Yes, I'll rent Stella Does Tricks. Our tech guy here just asked me if a copy in PAL format can be converted to NTSC? I have NO idea what all this means..LOL. He said his department is going to be getting some conversion programs, so he's going to check it out for me.. I work for a tech school. He's telling me a DVD will in the computer will play alot more versions.

Yes you can convert PAL to NTSC and vice versa if you have the equipment (That's what Shars has access to in her old job) I'm not sure how you'd get on copying it onto computer and converting to a digital format. maybe that can be done.
It's at a cost in quality of course - something to do with the number of frames per second and I've also heard NTSC referred to as short for Note The S**t Color. And copying a tape lessens the quality each time. The original dub of CN was onto DVD from TV airing and copying DVDs is fraught with complications cos some machines are choosy about what they'll play.

So funny...our tech here was searching all over for a DVD of Canone Inverso. I did find a site to purchase from in Italian...Had to have Tony translate it for me, since he's originally from Italy. So I just may purchase from there, and he'll see about converting it. He also showed me how to do it on the computer. As for CN, guess I'm just outta luck! Thanks! Cathy
