For those of you who do not know where to start looking for DVDs of Hans movies and don't know even if your country has any of them released let alone which retailers who carry them, there are great search engines who are designed specifically for finding merchandise of any kind (anything from cell phones and cars to flight tickets and hotel rooms) at the lowest price, like PriceRunner or Kelkoo. Just click your way to the DVD/Video/Movies page and search from there. For people in Sweden, Germany, Denmark, USA, France and UK there is PriceRunner: www.pricerunner.com (click on your flag in the top right corner) For people in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, UK, Australia and Taiwan there is Kelkoo (or Kelkoo provided by Yahoo!): www.kelkoo.com And remember you don't usually have to be a resident or citizen of any of the above countries to shop in their online stores - so long you have a valid Visa/MasterCard (or something similar). I have used these search engines many times so if you have any questions about them I'd be happy to help you ;D Here you can see a DVD Region Map (if you are unsure of which countries have the same region code as yours, in case your DVD player isn't region-free): www.mvps.org/marksxp/WindowsXP/dvd/regions/dvd_region_map.jpgGood luck!

Those are great links, thanks for posting them.
I still say you can't beat ebay for getting your hands on DVDs and videos, especially the rarer and older ones that are no longer "in print" or whatever the electronic equivalent word is.
But, boy, the situation has sure changed since I first discovered Hans. Back then I didn't have a DVD player ( had to buy one to watch "Canone Inverso") A multi region player and/or computer with DVD sure makes life easier. In fact back there I'd only just discovered the internet really, beyond emails and basic stuff. So through Hans I've made my first cyber friends, made my first posting on a message board (I thought the secret police would be on my doorstep), made my first purchase online - ("Canone Inverso" I had no idea what I was doing in Italian and was sure I'd do my money), made my first purchase on ebay and now learnt HTML some basic digital imaging and run my first website. Irony much.
Thanks to the generosity of fellow fans I've managed to get my hands on almost all of Hans' stuff, but there are still some of the older things that, as far as I know, no-one has. But I always hold out hope that someone has a copy of "Wycliffe" or "Family Money" or "Christmas" or even "The BIll" hiding in the back of their video collection.
And of course we all wait for the day that's it's as easy as strolling into our local multiplex, or grabbing one of the 50 copies from Blockbuster's premiere new release section.

You're so right, nothing beats eBay really. I just like my DVDs factory sealed and brand new which is why I often don't trust eBay with DVDs but in Hans' case there really isn't any other place to go. I just ordered a DVD of Doctor Zhivago on eBay tonight. I'm basically broke so eBay was my only option for cheap copies of this DVD. I can't wait to get it, it looks excellent! I also added Body Work and Deathwatch to my online rental account so hopefully I'll get to see those movies soon as well!

Hehehe I used to borrow The Mists of Avalon from my local library before as well all the time. I have my own DVD of it now so no need for that.
I rented Still Crazy and Bodywork through my online rental service and should be getting them in the mailbox this Monday ;D

Hi, I just joined so I feel a bit cheeky just plunging in and asking this, but I've been looking around the forum and I was wondering if there IS anyone out there with 'Comfortably Numb'? I'm interested in it not just because Hans is in it but it looks like a good film. If anyone has it, and could get in touch with me, I'm happy to do a favour in return. Thanks! xx sophro

Hi and welcome to the community. I'm sure there's someone out there who has a copy of "Comfortably Numb" out there who can maybe copy it for you. But you'd get a better response if you say where you are from because that will affect the format you'll need (PAL/NTSC) not to mention the cost of postage and the reluctance of some to send such things through international mail/customs etc. Some of our members might feel you need to pay your dues - ie by contributing to discussions etc, before requesting things. Especially when you haven't apparently seen all the more readily available stuff. But it doesn't hurt to ask - maybe someone has already PM'd you We know why you want that one particularly of course ;D

Do you know if Comfortably Numb is available for Latin America? I have problems because a lot of Hans' movies are just region 1 and don't have subtitles

Unfortunately, Comfortably Numb (to my knowledge) has never been released as VHS or DVD. Any copies that people have were made from the TV broadcast.
