wow I´ve never met somone else who has seen/likes Du er ikke alene! And I love Les Chorists too! after I first saw it I had to buy it and show all of my friends, and they all loved it as well. It´s such a beautiful movie, and the voice on the lead boy is amazing Yeah, I randomly came across it on netflix when I was looking up foreign films one night and after watching it really enjoyed it. Les Choristes is awesome! I fell in love with the lead boy's voice when I first saw it and developed a bit of a crush,

I actually prefer independent/ non Hollywood films so almost all my DVDs are those type of films. I really like the "rawness", how nothing is censored and every movie does´nt in some magical way have a happy ending...Makes me sound like I only enjoy depressing movies but I´m sure you all get what I´m trying to say my fav.s would be: Beautiful Boxer Battle Royal Ma vie en Rose (My life in pink) Der Führers Elite (Before the Fall) The Rocky Horror Picture Show Mysterious Skin Mannen som elsket Yngve (The man who loved Yngve) Iluija (Mirage) I totally get what you mean by "rawness" of them. I'm kind of like that too. Oh, Rocky Horror, Such a fun and crazy movie. I need to rewatch it seriously. I also saw Mysterious Skin fairly recently. That was a really neat movie, very disturbing, but worth seeing I think.

Rocky Horror is one of the most entertaining films I´ve ever seen Yes Mysterious Skin is quite disturbing, I thougt it was kin of interesting to see how differently the main characters dealt with life after having experienced the same thing.

jannikenim, that's so typical of Almodovar! I like more High Heels and Matador, they are psychological thriller with a touch of comedy

Director's cut of "Red Cliff." This is, without doubt, the most perfect film I have ever seen in my life. I couldn't fault anything in it, and that's pretty rare. It's from China, a historical epic that is 5 hours long (so watch it in two parts!) and it's just *awesome*.
"Arahan" (South Korea) "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and... Spring" (South Korea) "Dhoom:2" (India) "Castaway on the Moon" (South Korea)
these spring to mind, but "Red Cliff".... wow.

Oh, and "Little Big Soldier" (China). How could I forget that, oy. That has one of my fictional husbands in it. XD (Yoo Seung Jun aka Steve Yoo, if anyone is wondering. )

I'm amazed you are even aware that SKINS or Naturally Native even exist! They respectively only got onto a dozen screens in this country and most of those were at film festivals! Wish I could help you but neither got wide distribution, even on DVD. I think you might be able to rent them here, or maybe ebay a screener if you are really lucky but that's it. Wish I could be of more help.
