Australia is one bird less this evening - I just came upon my cat crunching happily on my dining room carpet. But - too late. Only a few samll feathers remain - not even enough to identify the species. I hope it wasn't a native bird.
Yes, I am a bad cat-owner. I give my cat outdoor privileges

Virgil, your lucky it was only a bird. One of my former cats used to bring back fresh wild rabbit and snack on them. It wasn't the most pleasant thing I could witness, especially at 7 in the morning!

Our cats don't get out but our biggest one, Houdini is a shower cat...he'll sit and watch you take a shower (really weird now that we have a glass shower and he really can watch) and if you leave the door open too long, he'll get in and lay on the wet floor.
Evelyn is a hair-tie cat, she'll find a hair-tie and freak out on it, meowing and pouncing around all over it like it's some kind of catnip toy.
And our dog, Lilly...well.....Lilly is slightly retarded and just recently ran into a glass panel....
