I write my message here because I'm not sure whether it sent to you in a personal message. I now have problems viewing the website .. No, his date of birth is correctly stated there, Gg. In Czech, the first of day of birth, and month of birth, and year of birth. In Czech uses a different order than in English. Look at different dates of birth of other actors in the Czech site.

Actually,Lynette, in English it IS day/ month/year. It's the Americans who do it differently. Like they don't use metric system or have chip and pin credit cards

This is my confusion -- my translator isn't "American" it's English... and this is what it shows up, not in numbers, but: actor Birthplace:Hans Matheson Nationality:Scotch Age:35 Birth:July 8, 1975, Stornaway, Scotland, United Kingdom That's how it showed up in the email from whatever search engine alert. Ugh so Virg, what you're saying is the English translator is reverting the numbers and then presenting the month by name. Why would it do that? CRAZY things have been popping up in these alerts lately... seriously. It's very true. We "American's" are crazy, stubborn, nonconformists. we may be the only people in the world who insist on the more difficult system.

Were you able to read my Private Message? There was one other thing I was a little concerned about. Did it make any sense? I'll try email this time.

Hi, delurking here to add my two cents: an English translator which speaks of a Scotch nationality? Isn't it Scottish, and Scotch reserved for the whiskey?
Edit: I checked my STELLA DVD, because I remembered there was some talk about this. Stella says "I'm not Scotch, I'm Scots". So now what is correct?

Scots or Scottish is correct, but "Scotch" is what was written in the description from that particular website's translation -- so I'm not sure where the "chicken and the egg" is on this translator issue...!? It's got the be the translator!
Scotch is alcohol and a warming one (in the US we are needing one just now; -25C, no kidding... it's -10F with the wind in the mountains). I also may need one soon with these translators because I've plugged the text through Google, Yahoo, and Babel Fish and they are all translating the incorrect date and the "nationality" the same way. Not sure what it is I am doing wrong. It's just an ineffective animal, which I didn't realize until now.
That is not the excuse on the English speaking facebook pages -- almost all the pages the birthday wrong, or steal stuff (ask Starkiller) without permission, or link to us, and I don't need a translator to cross check that!
DE-LURK more often Brooke!! We miss you!

There are often many ways to say something in English (the language).
It's a language spoken by many nations and subsets thereof. So there are many variations. None of them 'wrong'.
let's avid the quibbling over details which adds to the stress f those struggling enough anyway. Isn't that how this topic got started in the first place.

Aw, it's frustrating. Would really like to be able to understand back and forth more easily. Guess it's not the "answer" either. I got ahead of myself there. sorry all.

But it will be resolved. I write a word translation - July and August. July - červenec August - srpen But I think that Czech sites lists the correct date of his birth, I noticed because I have birth dates on a good memory. Czech official sites is right all the administrators that they're careful and do not approve of anything that is not confirmed.

Hi Gg! That's okay, I think that our Czech pages show the correct information about Hans, if not, I asked the administrator to remedy. I go to the official film site regularly and I watch carefully the information about Hans. It's my number one idol, so I'm watching it. ;D I would also wish to facilitate communication, but I had to attend a language course. I hope all is well and that you understand what I wanted to express. Thank you.
