Some very very sad news I'm afraid. I received an email from Jonathan in Mexico's girlfriend just before. He was in a car accident last night, his second in a very short time. Unfortunately he didn't make it and sadly passed away. I, personally became very good friends with Jonathan and spoke to him a lot outside of the forum through emails and letters, a very generous caring man who always had a kind word. A beautiful man inside and out. Many tears have been shed by myself for this sweet man, I'm sure you'll all join me in sending your prayers to his family, his mum who is not well herself and his girlfriend and friends.

That is sad news indeed. I'm sure all our thoughts and prayers are with Jonathan's loved ones at this time!

It's a terrible notice, I'm so sad too and I can't stop crying.
He was a very kind man, funny, smart, generous and loved by a lot of people. I had the change to talk with him a few, he was a very big fan of books and cinema and we met once in a book event.
His funeral will be tomorrow and I will be there to say a prayer for Jonathan and his family.

I was stunned when I got Jonathon's fiancee's email and like many of you, Jonathon was not afraid to reach out and be a friend to me. He truly was a wonderful spirit and I can only hope that this lady, who must have been someone pretty special to be with Jonathon, can find comfort. This is such very sad news. His family will be in my thoughts tomorrow, and he will be sorely missed. I am so grateful that I got a chance to get to know him, before his time here with us was cut short. It is such a beautiful thing that he became friends with us, and was willing to share himself with us, despite distance and language. I will miss him.

It is very sad news, Jonathan was very kind, friendly man, a man with a great soul. I'll pray for him and his family, because it is a very difficult period.  |

I've heard from Kena who was at the funeral and may post later if she's up to it, but wanted to let everyone know that it was beautiful service with friends and family and music.
Jonathon's mother has told Kena that the family will begin the rosary prayer tomorrow night. Keep them in your prayers as they travel this grief path. He had no brothers, his mother has been ill, so they need all the strength they can get.

I know Jonathan's family appreciate all our thoughs and prayers. I know this forum and friends from here meant a great deal to him. He was a very loved man and it was beautiful to see a lot of people in his last departure.

Such unexpected and tragic news. My heart goes out to all his loved ones, and to those on the forum who knew Jonathan well. He will be missed here but especially by those who knew and loved him.

Lately but deeply stunned and sad to read this tragic news about Jonathan. My thoughts and prayers are for his family.

Special prayer today for Jonathan on what would have been his 32nd birthday I believe. And thanks that his mum is now on the mend after a very tough few years. Rest in peace Jonathan.
