Personally I love it the actress Eva Green, I think it is very charismatic and chameleonic. She can be performed absolutely any interpretive role. She is extraordinary! ;D

It's been renamed to 300 Rise of an Empire. Release date the same, though. This is the second name change. Originally is was Xerxes, then Battle of Artemisia, now Rise of an Empire

I had seen the first movie when it came out and, despite all the talk about it, wasn't that impressed with it. Too many things seemed to be telegraphed. Hopefully, this one is more impressive. I'm certainly glad that it's the first new movie for Hans in a LONG time. Hopefully, there is more on the way so we get to see him in action!

The trailer did not attach to G.I. Joe (released at midnight), as previously announced, and there have been rumors of delay, which could be linked to the bankruptcy concerns of the special effects company that was working on the film (and the subject of controversy at this years Oscars when Ang Lee won the statue but didn't mention them for Life of Pi). There is some specualtion that the release day is also being put off but that is not announced officially, as of yet.

There's been a good bit of 300 filming activity in these last few days in LA. Amongst a number of six-pack bearing young actors who are getting a chance to do the 300 thing, Peter Mensah, who is most known for his part in Starz "Spartacus", shot a cameo yesterday. Aesthetically it seems this pre-quel/sidequel/spinoff will not disapoint die hard 300 fans.

Meanwhile, 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE previewed some footage at ComicCon yesterday, with this synopsis
This new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield - on the sea - as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war. 300: Rise of an Empire pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemesia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.
