Have you ever seen a movie named Wicker Park? I saw it yesterday . I'ts a Paul McGuigan's film with Josh Hartnett, Rose Byrne and Diane (beautiful) Kruger. It's a story about Matthew (Hartnett) and Lisa (Diane Kruger). They met each other when she walks past the window of the shop where he works in the Wicker Park section of Chicago, and he’s immediately captivated; he follows her, they meet, and soon they fall deeply in love. Everything about their relationship seems perfect--until the day she disappears without a trace. Two years later, Matt has built a new life for himself, but he’s still haunted by her memory and the nagging torment of unanswered questions. Then he catches a quick glimpse of someone he thinks must be her in a bar. Then he begins a twisting, obsessive search for Lisa. Matthew’s search for the truth will lead him deeper into the mystery, with each discovery more deceiving than the next. I liked so much because the movie talks a bout obsession can have different faces. Soundtrack is also amazing with a lot of bands like Coldplay, Stereophonics, Snow Patrol, The Stills, Mogwai and more...

Oh I loved this movie!!! It really had me twisted, not knowing what the heck was going on!! My favorite scene was at the end when he kneels down behind her....swoon!!

Right! Sorry for digging this one out. For some incomprehensible reason I'm moving with horrible delay in space and time... Just wanted to say that I love that movie, too! I remember the end scene because of the Coldplay song (as that's the only Coldplay song I can really stand...). The way the movie was made was great! It might be a bit confusing at first but it gives, as you said, nice twist to the regular story. Oh, and I remember being extremely impressed by the scene when Matthew and his friend are in the theater watching the play and the mean woman was on stage. Though now I can't remember why I was so impressed...

I think it is a good remake and the soundtrack is amazing!! I do not know why Coldplay's song is not in the soundtrack but it has a good acoustic cover of it in the OST

Ha! I didn't know it was a remake! And when I went to imdb to check out the original, got stuck reading the blunders in the Wicker park . I really don't remember anything of the music. Only that Coldplay song comes to mind...

Wicker Park is the remake of L'appartement (1996) a French film with Vincent Cassel and Monica Bellucci. I think the new version with Josh Hartnett, Rose Byrne and Diane Kruger is very good too. The end of the movie is different in Wicker Park I like it so much more.

Josh Hartnett has an unique personality. Audiences love and appreciate him because Josh is not a publicity stunt. I think he is an inimitable actor of his generation. Actor with a wide range of genres. I love his dramatic roles ;D In this film, Josh played the role perfectly... It's a very good movie with an amazing soundtrack
