Zita, I find it very beautiful and adorable that your n°1 passion is your family. And you are lucky to have talented children.

And in the name of creative health, ethics, and just in preservation of our mutual good feelings, can I say that when someone puts something out there, it can be a scary, brave act, and in consideration of that, let us all be mindful of these words:
William Butler Yeats
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths, Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet: But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams
**************************************
deal?!
and Zita -- you will be a better artist for yourself, for having been a wonderful Mom for your children!
OH and Star -- when you have a chance, could you check out your PM -- you might be able to help me with something!

That is SO true. When you put something out into the world, it's like pouring your heart out. And yeah, it can be scary sometimes.

Starkiller, I've said it before -- you are a goddess

Hahaha oh, I can be verbose, believe me! You should see some of my writing, where I dwell fulsomely for paragraphs on describing a location, only to have my editor go through it all with a red pen and screech at me, 'Unnecessary detail! OMG, Star, we get it, it's a beautiful spot, cut out the unnecessary purple prose!'

This looks like a good thread. Would any of the other forum users be willing to visually share their creativity with us? Being the creative type myself I love to see other people's work. Especially paintings!

Wow....what a talented group!! Congratulations to you all!
I'm feeling a bit out of place! I'm a math major with a tendency for being too logical and I love lists! I have lists for my lists which of course have lists! Graph paper is my best friend!
I'm a bit hard on myself though. My real passion is quilting and cross stitch...which strangely enough, both involve graph paper. Things that make you say HMMMMM! I particularly love making baby quilts, but seeing as I only have 2 kids, I tend to give them away as gifts to family and friends. I must say that I have made some beautiful quilts and would maybe some day try to sell them...when I get to the age that my friends stop having kids!
I am surrounded by music. I play piano and have been teaching my son to play now for the past 2 years. We have guitars and bongos in the house as well which my oldest is quite keen on playing. My brother in law is a professional musician, so we have his music on all the time. We have a very eclectic music selection in this house from classical to heavy metal and classic rock, mariachi to blues, Folk, Celtic, bluegrass, world, pop, rock. It is a bit crazy actually. But we are never bored!
Keep up the amazing work everyone. I look forward to seeing your creations throughout the years!
OH...and if I ever figure out how to post photos, maybe I will share a quilt or 2 with all of you!
