Hi there all, I'm just wondering who on the Hans boards has a LJ? Because I'm nosy, haha, and also, kind of adicted to LJ just a little bit. Star.

I remember someone asking something similar a while back. What is a Live Journal? Kind of like a blog?

It's the biggest blog site on the web. Won heaps of awards and so on, although it's recently changed hands in a buy out and is experiencing some issues. Otherwise, it's a good site.

Ok so I've joined the LJ community at last virgilreality.livejournal.com/You'll probably still hear it here first but not to miss an opportunity to spread the Hans goodness. BTW, it seems some people are taking the Hans Myspace page as the real thing - though some with a touch of irony I feel

That MySpace page surely isn't the real thing. I recognise the background on it. It just looks like a suss page to me.

No bull...As I mentioned before elsewhere, in the unlikely event that Hans had a my space page, I'm sure he'd use his own words in his profile instead of lifting them from the Hans Matheson Online Biography page. I'm flattered though

Way behind the power curve (but I have really good excuses) I sent the link for myspace to get confirmation from his representation and they -- laughed -- and said it was in no way Hans or anyone connected to him at all -- if anyone on board is registered with myspace could you make sure that that is made clear to "his" "friends" and if anyone on this board communicates with the person who made that page, please protect yourself -- it's officially not him.

*snickersnort* They lifted his bio as well as the background image? Dear me!

I can imagine they had a bit of a chuckle! I personally have nothing to do with MySpace, I just don't like the site at all and find Livejournal to be more user and people friendly. The lass who made the wallpaper that has been snaffled as the background would probably be quite shocked to know that it's been used and without credit or anything. I believe she's tribbed some walls to the fanarts section here and I know she's entered some (beautiful) icons in the Hans icon-contest on Livejournal as well, so I sincerely doubt that she had anything to do with the MySpace page. Though it does go to show that he's becoming more popular in the mainstream audience, if nothing else.

But he only has 13 friends!
And I'm sure some of them realise it's not really him - most of the posts are quite inocuous "Love your work man" etc. As long as this person isn't replying to people as if it's the real thing. In cyberland what can seem a bit of a joke can easily get out of hand - there's some vulnerable people out there.
And he's grown an inch!!
There was a fake live journal out there at one stage but it was pretty funny and pretty obviously fake and didn't last very long.
Fact is, whoever owns that site is probably a visitor to these boards if not actually a member. I'd feel more comfortably if there was some sort of disclaimer on that site somewhere.

Virgil wrote: Hahahaha, has he? He's multitalented! A very very late growth spurt! ;D You mean hansmatheson.livejournal.com/profile that one? That was part of the celebrity role playing game 'Must Be Pop' on LJ, which is the biggest role playing game in blog format. MBP players are expected to place on their userinfo that the journal is 100% fake (which this person has done,) and the game is registered as 100% fiction.
