Oh my God I'm in love all over again! Now if a poster of that horse-back riding scene was on sale on Ebay, well...

As far as I know, it's not been released anywhere
They haven't even released "Augustus" the first of the Imperium series.

As far as I know, it's not been released anywhere They haven't even released "Augustus" the first of the Imperium series. I've seen 'Augustus' on release on DVD, I can't remember off the top of my head WHERE, though, if it was eBay or somewhere else...CdWow has it on rental which isn't much use to those of us outside the UK. So I'm guessing, that if the first one is out on dvd, then the rest should probably follow. In fact, a search for a needle in a haystack turned up this: www.bestprices.com/cgi-bin/vlink/043396096554IE.html for Augustus pre-release, so here's hoping Nero isn't too far behind. Fingers and toes crossed.

My humble gratitude goes out to all you tapers, recorders, and vigilent (should I say Virgilent?) fans...I think Hans fandom requires a special spirit of cooperation...somehow I don't think Brad Pitt's fans have to jump through the same hoops...

That is good hope. I don't understand why Nerone Imperium never play international. It is part of history series, but only in Italia?

As promissed, here's my review to "Nero" : well i must say that i prefered the second episode to the first , which lacked a certain atmosphere and dynamics between scenes and some chemistry on the dialogues. Not all dialogues, but especially on those involving the "house of emperor Claudius". Also it didn't make you fell like part of the story. Now to the positive things : Hans as usuall was brilliant. He never stops amasing me with his capability to assume such differents characters, and in Nero's case such emotional and psychological evolution, from the little boy who wanted to change the Roman world to a complet mad man who just wanted to be loved by the one who always had his heart( yes a complete romantic, what can i do!!). Nevertheless the actrisses that played Agrippina and Acte where also very very good, and showned lots of chemistry in the scenes with Hans, which is a point in favour for the series. Favourite scenes : Acte and Nero watching Rome at night, with all the lights on, and Nero's death (it was a brilliant scene in my humble opinion Something that i found curious was that the girl who played Acte is taller than Hans...lololl probably a casting or production error. oh, virgil i tryed to find some portuguese articles about "Nero", but unfortunately i only found that wich you have taken the foto.It doesn't say much about the actors and product team. Although, if you want to, i can sand you the complete translation of it. kisses

Thanks for the review Patricia Have to say I agree with you, both about the second episode being better than first (which was mostly exposition but done in a fairly rote manner) and also with the favourite scene I also like the watching Rome lights by night scene I thought Acte was lovely - tall too

As mentioned on the website, Nero is now available on DVD in Italy, Spain and soon in Germany. Italian version - 23 eurosSpanish versionGerman versionBut for those who feel daunted by the prospect of ordering from a foreign language site, why not avail yourself of the opportunity to purchase from this vendor at Ebay for a mere 40 Uk pounds - thats $US72? cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2306&item=6377847438&rd=1Seems the word is out amongst the ebay sellers that some fans will pay anything. Meanwhile I'm trying to find out if the German version will have an English soundtrack -and/or subtitles. I know they prefer it to be dubbed in Italian cinema TV but I have a feeling the Germans prefer subtitles and the original sound track Anyone know for sure?
