If it would be helpful I can have Mama write me out the necessary info in italian in order for everyone to be able to order directly from the site. I could just post it on the board. If that would be of help.

Good news for who would like to see the film. They're showing it on Canvas (Belgium) on Friday, 10th of June and the two following Fridays at 9 PM and it's in English. Apparently the film is also for sale at the end of June or in July, but I'll let you know when it's actually for sale.

So, "Nero" will be available on DVD in the US on September 6 - preorders can be made now -- looking forward to hearing what people who couldn't initially watch it think, when it is available more easily.
I should probably mention that there is a DVD of "Augustus" with Peter O'Toole, that is part of the "Imperium" series, available at video rental places, and has pictures of Hans as Nero on the back -- disceptively, as Nero is no where in the story that lies on the DVD inside the case -- as it is, after all, the story of Augustus... so don't be disappointed.

I just got Nero!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I completely forgot that it came out this week!!!! oops. But my sister was at the store and she bought it for me and she came home and was holding something behind her back and she said "Who's your favorite actor?" "Hans Matheson" "BAM!" and she pulls Nero out from behind her back!!! I'm like OMG!!
I haven't watched it yet, but I will give you my review when I am finished.
When this movie was on TV a few years back, I just changed the channel...yes, I am ashamed.

Wow! I must say this was one of the better movies I've seen in quite some time. I enjoyed it to no end!
I have to disagree with VG on the part where she says she liked the second half better. I liked the first half better. Not sure why. Maybe because it was a happier time? Everyone dancing and playing music, and frolicking. Not everyone was trying to murder everyone else. (although that seems to be the whole movie's theme).
I don't like how his mother turned from a loving maternity figure into a ravenous vulture, but I guess power can do that sort of thing to you.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED all the parts where Hans sings!! And he plays the harp!! ;D I'm not sure if he was really playing, but it looked like he was, and I'm pretty sure that he was really singing!! It sounded like him, so I think it was!
I also found similarities to Mists. I saw Mordred come out in some scenes. I also saw some of Jeno, but that was mainly in the way he talked.
Its hard to tell how much time passes in the second half. In the first half, they put little messages on the bottom saying "1 year later" or whatever, but they stopped about half way through.
I loved his hair in this movie! The first few scenes it looks like he has extensions, but the rest of the movie, it looks real...hmm..
Wow, he jumps a horse one-handedly. AWESOME! (even if it was a stunt double)
Is it wrong that I think he looks better when he's dressed as a slave, than the emporer of Rome? haha (and I agree, red is not his color. He looks better in darker-earthy tones)
Good moive! Definately a good movie!!
