Also at the start of the director's commentary, he talks about the explosions and how loud they were. Apparently Hans got really angry and he went to the director and said he couldn't hear anything anymore.

:-) During Jamie Bell, Laurence Fox and the directors commentary, they comment on how nice his hair is. I actually sat through all of Andy Serkis' commentary which was really interesting. He says Hans is too good looking for his own good.

Rather, as a musician, he would be concerned about hearing loss. But apparently, not enough to wear the earplugs they had been isssued with As I recall it, I had the impression they were kind of implying he was vain about his hair. In that "slag off your mates" way.

I loved the commentary with the actors. All fooling around and cutting each other down like a bunch of kids on a playground. I got the same impression -- that they were engaging on some good-natured mocking where the soon to be "Dr. Zhivago" was concerned. It was also pretty interesting to have read Michael's blog and have that to reflect on as well. A bunch of silly boys playing in the mud, making a horror flick... Andy Serkis is glorious in psychotic madness, and am I right to say -- wins for most costars with Hans? Good company.

After much debating with myself I went ahead & ordered this off Amazon. I'm not really into war films, but this film sounds interesting because from what I've read about it, it's more about the psychological aspect of war. I'm quite keen to watch this even more now after reading through this thread. And it sounds like there are alot of extras to it aswell which is cool.
