I'm going to re-watch the whole film tomorrow with my mum. I just know she's going to sit there saying she doesn't understand, at least I mainly understand now so I can explain.
Must have been terrible what he was doing, I like the fact that we don't get told, leaves it to the imagination, and doesn't the imagination go wild when thinking about it like you said Gg!

I'm surprised nobody here mentions the interview with Hans in the extras. My DVD is R2, German release. Alas it's only about 3 minutes long. Please excuse me if I'm wrong and I overlooked it. As there are also no screen caps to find I would have liked to show one here but I can't figure out yet how to include images, stupid me.

There are no extras at all on my copy and none on the R4 version either. I heard a rumour about extrason the German version but was never able to find out how to order a copy - and then I got the one I have weith no extras. We'd love to know what they include and of course, screen caps. If you have trouble posting them (you have to host them somewhere else, like www.photobucket.com you can email them to me!

Two weeks ago Lolly started speculations about what Patrick actually did when he and Sharon met for the first time. Gg summed it up nicely: "I thought his performance in that scene was really effective. What I always wondered was what the unuttered answer was to the question he poses to Sharon" After re watching Hans' interview in the DVD extras, I think Hans himself is indeed responsible for these speculations. He's talking about cutting lines. He says: "...because sometimes if you say something, it might give too much away. It's nice to leave things unresolved and unspoken" lynette: most parts of the interview you can read in the Production Notes of Half Light

I read a lot of material on the film Half Light in the past.

I think that's one of the best-ever scenes, along with the scene from "I Am DIna" where Dina smacks him and then Tomas tells her, "it's your mess. You clean it up"
I was actually quite surprised at the time - and impressed with how different Patrick looked, compared to Angus. I like the way Gg mentioned that whatever he had done, it frightened a tabloid journalist - I had not considered that part of it. I just thought maybe she had a 'past' too.
Many more caps, and trasript to come, thanks to Brooke's generosity. Be patient just give me time.

As promised, pictures and the transcript of the DVD interview with Hans from the German version of Half Light. Many thanks to Brooke. Ok, at first they all look quite similar but there is fact quite a variety of expressions in those eighty-odd caps! I also fixed up the links to Alan Hughes' Half Light Locations website

I've just finished watching this film and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I didn't find it too slow or too fast in its pace. I could definately watch this again and not get bored or restless half way through. And I loved all the location scenes. They were all very nice!
