I don't buy that kind of stuff. I just don't.
I was, as some of you know, on the set of In Bruges (with Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson) and some friends from the crew were just going on and on about how it's going to be a 'crappy film'... they've ofcourse made lots of films so they know what they're talking about... but I was on the set, watched the screens, read the script, saw the acting - I thought it looked amazing. It's a film I would want to see with or without the interesting cast.
It's just a matter of taste, it's always like that, and there's always going to be people who don't like films. I don't like many films that won Oscars or got lots of positive publicity, and I've fallen in love with many films that got bashed by the critics.
So it's not important what mister Terry Carter thinks - what matters is that Hans feels he can put his heart into this character and project, and that all the artists involved are able to do so. There's always gonna be fans and haters - it's the simple fact of expression that matters. To me, at least.

There's a L-o-n-g article about Hans - and a picture - here. Unfortunately it's all in Slovakian Hungarian (Thanks for the correction, Nada). Anyone able to provide a translation? Also from this site for the wigmakers Looks like a mug shot

The Bathory Official Site has been updated with some content there was just a splash page before. There's a very nice bio for Hans and a couple of new pictures in the gallery. They'll be screening the trailer at Cannes apparently

In other news, it seems that the Julie Delpy version of the Bathory story will go into production soon. www.intandemfilms.com/news/screen_the_countess.htmI'm guessing it will be more mainstream "Hollywood" even if it is an indie production, and maybe more what fans of the Elizabeth Bathory story will be expexting to see,

Lots of nice pictures of Hans...I like how they light the film to make everyone look like they're in a Caravaggio painting. My search for Caravaggio turned up the quote from Wikipedia: "Caravaggio was considered enigmatic, fascinating, rebellious, and dangerous." Sounds like the perfect Hans role.

What's with the face cut-out? I get the cardboard one, where people can put their own face in, but on the side of a building? Someone's idea of a statement? Like the Silence of The Lambs poster? It ain't working for me!
