The episode of Bramwell with Hans Matheson in it is now on amazon prime video. It’s season 2 episode 7. It’s a very sad episode but very interesting too. Being gay and dressing like a transvestite would have been taboo subjects in Victorian times but some people were more tolerant about them than others. Dr Bramwell is a nice and educated doctor which is why she wasn’t as judgmental about Frederick (Hans Matheson) and ensured he got the same treatment as the other patients.
