okay -- this is a little screwy
the episode that Hans is in was in the second "season" of "Bramwell" -- it's listed as number 207.
That said, when I got Bramwell 2 from my local library it was no where in there... so maybe that's a place to start.
Just look for the lovely young girl with long black hair and a dark green dress -- that's our boy!

It's the seventh episode in Series Two. That's what the 2-07 must mean. That's on the original Carlton Television UK video set anyway. The episodes were organised differently in America.
Dr Bramwell is well established in her practice and the episode before that has her ending her relationship with her suitor.
Well, now I've hunted down the tape, located right below the VHS machine ...... well Syriana is proving a bit heavy for my weary Friday night brain so.....

I've been confused about this for a long time too. IMDb says that it's in the second season, but the Masterpeice Theatre website says that it's in the fourth season. Totally confusing. I've yet to find it available for rent locally.

On the US DVD release Hans' appearance is in the 2nd season, episode 7 as Virgil Reality already said, though it was indeed differently organized on TV. I had to smile when I read the blurb about this episode on the DVD box: "...but Eleanor is dumbfounded when she parts the patient's dress to reveal a hairy masculine chest." Can't say that I saw a hairy chest, which is fine for me.

Say Wha?
Obviously someone didn't actually view the show.
I can remember a discussion on what it blood or a scar on Hans' chest - and was it a real scar? Certainly you couldn't accuse Hans of being a really hairy guy

Just re-watched this. Be warned: definitely nothing for the fainthearted amongst us. There is much blood and Hans/Frederick has to suffer a lot. Every time you think he's getting better, another calamity hits him.

It's hard enough for the gay community now... Imagine how it was back then. Hans plays Fredrick with intelligence and sympathy.
