Henry Cavill, co-star in THE TUDORS, will be playing SUPERMAN in the new film. I heard! I am so excited for him, I read that he had auditioned for the roles of a lot of superheroes but never landed any until now. So glad he finally landed one.

Henry Cavill, co-star in THE TUDORS, will be playing SUPERMAN in the new film. In our press was an article about this role and there wrote that this role is a curse for the actor, then they have a difficult fate. What is the truth? I hope that the actor Christopher Reeve was an exception...

Well, Christopher Reeve certainly had a terrible accident, and the original TV Superman was mysteriously shot in his Hollywood home in the 1950's, but many have played Superman since, and aside from one of them ending up on an animal variety show, no serious harm has come to any. One just played one of the "evil ex's" in "Scott Pilgrim Against the World"... so I would say that "curse" ended. I'm sure Henry will be fine!

Henry Cavill, co-star in THE TUDORS, will be playing SUPERMAN in the new film. Mmh, although I consider Cavill a very skilled actor... I believe Christopher Reeve's character is still very strong in our minds... He was such a talented actor, with a brilliant tinge of comedy in his Clark.

Nick Hoult (COTT) and Bill Nighy (everything on earth, including STILL CRAZY) have both been case in "Jack the Giant Killer" -- Nick in the title role!

Saw 'Never Let Me Go' yesterday with the exquisite Keira Knightley. Bawled like a baby, that's definitely one of my top films this year, the list is ever growing.

His fellow nominee, the gorgeous Gemma Arterton aka Tess aka Io looking pretty amazing in that black velvet strapless number!
Is it just me, or did Gerard Butler look like" the actor" with his longer than usual ringed locks?

For one of my classes we are watching Irish films and one film that I had to watch was one called THE MAGDALENE SISTERS. It has Anne-Marie Duff in it. It's a hard film to watch at times but it's filmed beautifully and though sad (and somewhat depressing) at times it is a fairly good film I thought.

That film is heartbreaking -- although there is something a bit twitter worthy when the priest breaks out in a rash... it was the first Anna Marie Duff film I saw

I've often wondered if The Magdalene Sisters was a good film to watch. If I can find a copy to rent then I will do.
