I went to see Richard II at the Donmar Warehouse in London yesterday, starring Eddie Redmayne! Well I always knew he was an amazing actor but I didn't realise he was that good! The play was amazing and he led the cast with such skill, it was truly incredible. I met him after the play and actually said to him: "Oh you're beautiful, can we hug?" *cue Eddie screaming and running away* but he didn't he happily obliged and gave me a big hug. I mentioned Tess and he said he has very fond memories from it, I of course mentioned Hans. He said very sweet things about Hans and said "He has a love/hate relationship with work." He had a photo on his own and one with me, considering he had another show to do in less than two hours, he spent ages talking. He said his first job was in Liverpool and thanked me for going. Oo you lucky thing - I'm envious even of the chance to see such things with big names on a regular basis.
I wouldn't have had the nerve to chat so thanks for letting us enjoy such activities through you.
Did we mention the Les Mis connection? Eddie will play Marius in the forthcoming movie version of the musical.

Big congratulations to Mads Mikkelsen, best Actor at Cannes for his role in "The Hunt".
What a versatile actor.
I didn't like him in "I Am Dina", but that was his character of course.
ETA Saw the movie and wow , it was amazing. Very confronting and the friends I saw with with are still discussing the ending. Did he or didn't he?
