Hans is contributing a recipe to a charity recipe book in aid of the UK charity Action Duchenne, to raise funds for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The book is Scottish based with 40 Scots celebrities providing their favourite recipe. The book will be available soon and I'm working on details as to how overseas buyers (most of us) can obtain copies. More info www.thecaledoniankitchen.co.uk/index.htmlwww.actionduchenne.org/

she's leaving out the witty aside -- when we found out about this, Virg speculated that perhaps Hans' contribution was "blackened fish, ala HALF LIGHT" --
it'll be interesting to see, when the book is available, how close to the mark she was!

we were just fooling around -- remember in "HALF LIGHT" when Rachel is coming to visit Angus and he is in his kitchen, and having some trouble at the stove? He says "you've turned up at last!? Good timing I'm just burning the fish" that's what we were joking about.

Is my memory deceiving me, or did I once read an interview where he said he liked to sit at home with his friends and cook pasta for them? I must be getting old I don't know if I imaged that interview LOL

Thanks for the info, Star. Ever the legend. The book is now available and here is the link to the page of the website for overseas buyers - many of you lot! www.thecaledoniankitchen.co.uk/overseas.htmlFor those of you in Scotland, there is also a list of locations where you can buy a copy personally. Here is some further information about Hans' contribution, courtesy of organiser of the book, whose son suffers from the disease. 1. The Hans image is from Half Light. (In fact, I believe it's the one I use as my avatar!) 2. There is also an exclusive family photo showing his grandfather Bill Maclean and his brother Will. It was sent to me by his mother Sheena. 3. The recipe is a fish dish. This is no surprise with his Isle of Lewis roots. 4. There is a description from Hans about why it is his favourite recipe. Hans's is the most personal submission in the book. So, you can see, lots of good reasons to get ourself a copy! I just might pick up my copy - personally, when I'm in Scotland More Information from The Daily Record
