We just got a house with $5,000 down and if they hadn't taken it off the market (which I am incredibly glad for at the same time) I'd be able to show you all a picture of it. But 1 story, gray brick, white outside, all landscaped, absolutely gorgeous I can't wait to move in there....just got to get the money going and then we can get an interior decorator and get going with the moving thing....

Other than that...religious issues with the mother's side of the family
Bratty retarded puppy (I love my dog, but the puppy mill abuse is showing in her everyday actions)
Umm....I've decided to take a year off a school in order to just....I haven't read a book in almost a year?

By the way, what's up with Prop 8? Why is it that Iowa can pass a gay marriage law and California can't?

Thanks Virgil...still learning about myspace and there is a link to the band on the festival website that I have checked out but only briefly. Will investigate more. There are just a lot of bands at this festival from all over the world. Should be good! Thought I would see if someone has heard of them!

As for Prop 8, I don't know American legislation very well...hell, I barely know Canadian...they seem to change so rapidly. But I do know that it frustrates me to no end when governments have a say in who can and can't spend the rest of their lives together legally! My opinion is if you are consenting, happy and in a loving relationship then you should have the right to marry (with a piece of paper), and adopt and live in peace no matter your sexual orientation! Okay...quoting Gg from another post...stepping down off my soap box now!

Thank you thank you thank you...we're settling the mortgage business so we can close by June 15th but we should be in by the end of July and hearing the real estate woman and the builder saying that they want to meet at OUR HOUSE, it floored both of us. We can get out of this hellish apartment soon

As for Prop 8...I have no idea what the government of the various states has got going through their heads, but the bad thing is, it doesn't matter what the President says...it's not his job the way I see it. I don't care about religion, I know it's important to some people and that's your right to do what you want and believe what you want but at the same time there shouldn't be any reason that we all can't just deal with one another...I don't follow the religion and obviously these people don't follow the homosexual lifestyle so why are we even having this?

Live and let live is apparently too hard. I think what bothers me the most about these people that are pushing prop 8 are the ones who think that just because they won this round, they think we're going to stop. HA!

My girlfriend and I are watching the second season of Xena and I couldn't tell you for the life of me the name of the episode but it's the David and Goliath one...and while I'm watching it, the kid that plays David looks a lot like Hans from Mists of Avalon. It isn't him, wrong accent, wrong look...wrong guy but god he looks like him.

I'm a little late on this one but congrats on getting your new house Scarredsoul..

There are several things that I could mention in this thread.

Firstly the british weather! What the hell is going on with this? It's never this hot here. I stopped feeling as though I lived in the UK days ago because of this heatwave! I almost wish it would stop because for me personally, its unbearable!

Secondly, the missing Air France aeroplane. I think there are now reports that debris from it has been spotted in the Atlantic Ocean. I really feel for those who have lost loved ones that were on that flight.

I have to agree about the weather Cat, I'm not a fan of hot weather at all, give me it windy and cold anyday. Apparently it's supposed to be getting cooler over the next couple of days, well here's hoping anyway.

I'm extremely excited at the moment, as you know I'm a big Strictly Come Dancing fan, well I was lucky enough to meet Brian Fortuna and Kristina Rihanoff last November. I didn't think I'd get to see them again this year but my friend has a spare ticket for an event they are doing at Blackpool Tower on Saturday 13th June which she has kindly given me for free, so I'm so excited about getting to see them perform again and to see the ballroom at the tower which I haven't been to as yet

What you have weather in the UK? For us in the CZ is this year very cold weather during this period. Only around 20, sometimes slightly over ... But I am happy. I hate tropical weather, hot me take life energy..
