LOL well I tried to say 'hi' but all the 13 year old girls were screaming too loudly *lol* And just so you know I was also told to tell him "hi" from Colin Farrell Fansite I got to do neither, unfortunately. Seriously we shouldn't have gone to the last show and on a Saturday night because the chaos was so awful that security had to drag Orlando into the car before people would get hurt. That was scary - that was even too much for me. I did get to stare at him on stage but still that was unfortunate. But then again I already got an autograph a few years ago so I shouldn't whine. Nonetheless 'twas a pitty! Also tried to see Ralph Fiennes leave the Harry Potter set (I'm awful, sue me ) but that was impossible. I hate security people *lol* Well no I don't I actually understand them but still that doesn't mean they understand me! Did see Jude Law, that was bizarro. Too bad Jude Law doesn't do much to my hormonal system! Anyway, people who are too famous are no fun. And I thought the world of Colin Farrell was shocking - it is nothing compared to Orlando's. Poor Orlando!

I love Hans *lol* It's oh so quiet.... Just the hysteria around Orlando is a huge big turn-off to me I can't help it. And to be honest after having had an actual conversation with Colin Farrell (a broody, unpredictable Irishman), seing Orlando Bloom (a cute, sweet, appearingly flawless English guy) from a distance really wasn't as much of an adrenaline rush as one would expect. I prefer 'em dark-sided

you know we could contemplate what he'll be like as the author of the "book of common prayer"... or what would Hans put it in if he was the actual author -- under the creativity thread perhaps.
she begins to thumb through SISTERS OF MERCY
even the greats need inspiration

Well there's certainly no shortage of music to help him get into character... or will he choose Cliff Richard or Van Morrison?
I have packed, honest. 24 hours till lift off and counting

The play was good and the actors were great. Orlando was as talented as usual - and let's just say that opinions vary on that subject

Wow so this was shocking. You know that Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd? I've appreciated his work and well, him, for quite a while now. I was never much active on the forum of the number one fansite, Ioan Online, to be honest - to be completely honest I just took it for granted and was usually more active on another forums (Heath Ledger, Colin Farrell, all them). So I haven't been on Ioan Online for a few months due to chaos over the past half a year. And I visit Ioan Online today and I see it's offline. Turns out the site is closed down. Turns out, Ioan himself funded the site for the past two years and has decided to step back because his fiance was being bashed by some people on the forum. What what WHAT? Okay why doesn't anyone email me when Ioan Online closes down, why doesn't anyone tell me it's Ioan who keeps the site running and WHY doesn't anyone tell me that Ioan apparently reads the forum? DAMMIT! I'm feeling a rather strange mix between sadness ('cause the site is gone) and excitement ('cause Ioan was involved ). Ok ignore my rant

True. I've been asking around the replacing forum for the story - turns out his fiancee was accusing Ioan fans of threatening her life (that is possible, it just wasn't THOSE fans, I know that for sure) and Ioan expressed that he thought his fans were rude about his fiancee, he basically stopped funding the website and declared in an interview that all his fans were... well I don't know what the word was, it was a strange word, one that could only be used by a Welshman :-P
But anyway that's the story. The moderator could no longer go through with the website and forum knowing that Ioan himself thought badly of it. Wow. I'm sorry, but what an "not a very nice person". He has every right to want to protect his fiance, but he has no idea how many hearts he's broken with his words and actions on this. He's basically decided that all his fans are crap because one idiot decided to stalk Alice. Gee, thanks Ioan.

You know, being engaged/married to someone who's discussed romantically on the internet would be a difficult thing. In defense of actors' personal lives' being, well, just that, in this case, here you are, new marriage with a woman you've been with for, what, 10 years (how long ago were they in "101 Dalmations" together?) and you're embarking on what should/could/is the most important relationship of your life, and I can get, particularly after establishing a career - having a film franchise under your belt, not necessarily wanting to participate in a website that encourages romantic fantasy... not all actors actually participate in their fansites to begin with. Actors' break romantic hearts daily by being human -- not really a fair situation to begin with as actors are profoundly human. As Samantha Morton so brilliantly said in "In America" -- "how can you act if you can't FEEL". I can also see actors in this situation wanting to be able to get to a point where their careers are self-fueling entities -- each performance generating more work, rather than thinking that they have to rely on the devotion of a fan base to keep them on set. I understand it being disappointing for the website/forumn, but frankly, if I was part of something that wasn't at the very least, respectful, I wouldn't participate either. That's why you all here are so great!

Well the thing was that the website never said anything really bad about Alice - the only comments she ever really got was people saying they didn't like the fashion she wore. So I think Alice and Ioan overreacted to that.
Also, it's quite hurtful that in July, Ioan stated in an interview that all his online fans were childish and bitter and sad. That's kind of hurtful, especially considering the majority of the people on that forum never even bothered to mention Alice. We were there for Ioan, and all disrespecting posts by that other small percentage were always removed by the webmistress because she was actually hired by Ioan to run the website.
I would understand if things had actually gone down, and if Ioan had considered ditching the forum but keeping the website (it was the biggest Ioan Gruffudd database online), and if he would have asked the webmistress to become more strict... but he just came down on everyone completely unexpected (because nobody knew he was involved) and basically just trashed us out of nowhere.
He really hurt his fans with his sudden direct and disapproving reaction, but most of all with his generalization. And he even claimed in the media that 'he had heard he apparently sponsored that fansite' - when he personally contacted the webmistress when she was in need of funding. If he had in any way shown he was sorry, that he understood that a small group has ruined it for a bigger group, then it would have been more than understandable.
But he seems to be so eager to just tell us all off :s it's quite strange.
