Great Pics Laura... congrats on meeting the cast. What an honour.
I have a chance to see Billy Elliot this summer in TO...worth a go for those who have seen it? Tickets are really good, but a little beyond the budget! Oh well...maybe I'll splurge!

Nice pics Laura! On a somewhat similar note, I had an interesting day. I photographed my very first ever (local) film premiere and I had a really good time. I'm up for doing this again sometime!

Nice pics, Laura! I think it's a great emotion to meet actors/people that you admire. =)
Well, I take this opportunity to share this joy with you: I sold my first paintings. It's just the beginning, but I'm very happy because it means that someone like them!

Glenny, that's fantastic! What sort of things do you like to paint?

WELL! Billy is endearing and funny and a bit tear-jerking at times. All that said, the f-bomb drops by the sentence and there is of course a pre-pubescent drag song, which is a scene you may recall from the movie. This is one of those that looks a little different in NY than in London, (they have multi-ethnic BILLIES on Broadway) and translates nicely. Not sure where that lies in Toronto, BUT all that said, it's a lot of fun and seems to me your 8 year old wouldn't sustain serious damage -- though you may want to inform his teacher if he acquires any of the colorful language "yes, yes, well,.... I took him to see BILLY ELLIOT last weekend, I do apologize"

Well....I was there to photograph the cast & crew plus all the invited guests. The film itself was called "Potential" and it was half an hour long, and was about the sport of boxing and rocky relationships. There were supposed to be actual boxers and cheerleaders there as well but they were a no show!

Glenny...your paintings are fantastic. I love the eyes. The pendants are amazing too. I also love your portrait of Frida Kahlo. She is one of my favourites. I even visited her home once in Mexico City. It was an experience that I will never forget. It helped that I went with someone that enjoys and is very proud of Mexican art and culture.
Cat...congrats on your photoshoot. It sounds like it was very exciting.
Gg...thanks for the theatre review. Not sure if I'll be going with my son to this one, but either way after Young Frankenstein, I really don't think I can traumatize him anymore. (Ha Ha!) He saw it all in that show.
I am always amazed by the talented people that are on this board. Thanks for sharing your lives everyone!
