LOL! The costume is... well it doesn't need to be sexy now, I'm sure it was incredibly much so in Roman times!

By the way, really random useless fact, but I just thought I'd mention (really late) to you all that I adopted a cat a year and a half ago and actually named him Nero, after Hans' Nero I had to come up with a name somehow! And I love ancient history. It was either that or Oedigirl thingy.

what amazes me is that it couldn't have been the only take of that shot (of pulling the poncho over his head and in this case, it getting stuck there) and yet it was the one they used! I don't actually think I'm suppose to giggle at that point, but I'm suppose to be empathising with his frustration in a way that makes me sorry for him (although I guess I am)... it almost makes me feel a little sorry for Hans the actor - you really have no power after you've performed and it becomes the editor and directors baby then. Not sorry I guess, he's a big boy, hopefully the experience itself was good and fulfilling in and of itself, and I'm sure it makes him laugh too, a bit. And maybe roll his eyes...

My friend, had a dog called nero he was a massive german shepard, he was sort of gaurd dog but soft as mush with me he was completey black and was very beautiful he died last year and my friend misses him terribly, I always wonderd why they would leave that shot of the cape getting stuck over his head, and hans mentioning he was a perfectionist in interviews it must have annoyed him when they left it in, i agree you do want to laugh though and you know you shouldn't.

A most unfortunate choice of costume in my opinion.
My favorite costume were these wonderful leather leggings worn during the riding lesson; my favorite scene is, when Nero and Acte sit together at night on the hill looking down at Rome, twice I think.
The funniest scene for me is, when Nero has this fit of rage on a field after being told he has to marry Octavia, behaving like Rumpelstiltskin and his "poncho" (Gg) flaps over his head.
When I first saw it, I thought, oh my God, this was not in the script! After many viewings I still have the feeling, Hans improvised when he threw it off.

These costumes were ugly, majority .. Poncho scene was funny ;D Actor must be able to improvise when the scene spoils.

Money, I suspect. I wish the would include all the extras on all the DVDs but generally extra features are produced independently and it would cost most to adapt them to regions where the DVD isn't expected to sell.
