I hadn't seen this video. But it's quite good! Thank you Zita. Have you seen the movie? It's sad Hans has not a bigger role in this film. Actually I didn't really like the film. I mean, Hans was great, as usual. But the movie is.... strange. I found it very violent and some scenes are quite complex to understand. Dina is not exactly the kind of character that we can feel close to. In some scenes, I felt sad for her, but in some other scenes, she was so unpredictable. It's a quite disconcerting movie actually, and I admit I didn't like some parts of the movie. Apart from the beginning which was really sad and touching. But Hans scenes are great! There is one especially... you know what I mean... ;D

Which one? ;D
Seriously, my favourite scene is the one in the barn where she smacks him and makes her clean up "her mess". The tension there is palpable.
Ah the memories - the challenge of getting hold on the DVD back then. Further evidence of the kindness of strangers, the solidarity of Hans Fans when we sent quite a bit of money to a total strtanger across the other side of the world - and promptly received our copies in return. Forever grateful.
As one of those who had read the book I was disappointed in the movie's treatment of the story and especially of Tomas's character and role in the movie. I read the book really soon after I had 'discovered' Hans (found whilst browsing a second hand shop - a sign for the Gods of Fandom?) and when the were filming "I am Dina" and posting 'that picture of their website.
I loved the Tomas role in the book and really felt they could have done so much to make Dina more accessible to the viewer if they had been able to portray the relationship better. I hated the way they did the apres funeral scene And I didn't particularly like the long hair.
But it's one. like Deathwatch, to be watched with fast forward

I haven't seen the film yet, only this video and the trailer. Has a strange mood, but it's tempting to see Hans in this role. In every role I mean.

I just watched this movie and I really enjoyed it. I wish Hans was in it a bit more but it was still good.

I got my copy yesterday and watched it last night I agree with most of you that it is abit weird. I too wish that Hans' role was bigger but as they say "quality not quantity" he he I thought he was very good in it.

Don't know, if this is the right place to post this. Did you notice Hans' customized shopping bag? One tends to forget there were times before MP3 players.
