When I was at the Essence of Ireland on Thursday I met the violinist Eimear Bradley who was lovely and super talented. She told me to Facebook her music page and low and behold she was in Half Light, when Rachel went to the pub only to be stood up by Angus, Eimear is the blonde woman playing the violin outside. It's a blink and you miss it kind of thing but naturally I was very excited when I found that out.

Rewatched Half Light the other night and was extremely excited when I saw that the train Angus doesn't get on at the station is heading for Oban. It's the little things like that that make my day, sad isn't it!?

I want to rewatch it again so bad! I watched it once with my parents during the day because I said I didn't want to see it alone at night (I'm not really into scary things). But I ended up loving it, not just because Hans was in it or because of the music or because of the GORGEOUS scenery (though those were all contributers), but because of the intricate twist of a plot. If only I could write something like that...
Also, Hans with a Scottish accent is one of the hottest things ever in my opinion. I would love to hear him do more of it in his films...even though I know it's not his regular accent.

I think you really need to wait until midnight, turn off all the lights, and watch it BY YOURSELF...

Haha, I was tempted to last night but then my disc drive on my laptop started spitting out my DVDs. If it behaves tonight maybe I'll do that...

I'm surprised Hans hasn't got more of a Scottish accent. I would've thought he would have really. Perhaps he just lost it over the years.

Didn't he say somewhere he was only a very little (maybe even pre-verbal) kid when they moved to England? I think he was too young to pick it up naturally, but certainly up there enough to imitate it pitch-perfectly!

So, having grown up most of his life in England then would Hans still be considered a Scottish actor even though he doesn't have a natural Scottish accent? I've always heard him referred to as a Scottish actor.

British if necessary. But he was born there, seems fair to refer to him as Scottish. If you ever travel out there, the accent actually 'lightens' are you go from the Lowlands (Glasgow, e.g.) into the Highlanders and out to the islands.

I wouldn't know about Hans' mother, but Ado's Scottish accent is very strong (I know this from listening to his CD). But even after living in England all these years, I just would have thought that in growing up listening to his parents accents, would have given Hans' own accent abit of a natural scottish twang to it.
