Well, I guess it's quite safe to say that it really is Hans in the pictures! And isn't it Demi there behind him? It's nice to know that these pictures are really recent. He looks mighty fine to me.....

on closer examination of the back issues lying around my floor (and having the brilliant idea of jumping on my internet subscription -- imagine my genius) I'm dead wrong about it being without herald. Initially all I saw was the production blurb from June under "in production abroad", but had I gone back I would've seen it announced on May 18, and on May 20 full production attachment was published. Scion isn't huge, but Lakeshore, whose doing sales/distribution is a powerhouse of independent film promotion -- could be very lucritive; ala the human stain, underworld...
Wouldn't it be nice to know where he is in the cast list?!
But I agree -- looks like our hero on that horse to me

I'm very happy with this notice. I hope that his character is important in this movie. In relation to the question of the career of Hans, I think that he would have to follow the example of Ewan McGregor, that makes as many independent films as also films of great productions. I think this would not demage his privacy.
In relation to a possible loving envolvement between Hans Matheson and Demi Moore, I think this will only depend of them, is obvious. But I think that it is very improbable.
However, Demi Moore constantly changes of boyfriends, recently she was with Tobby McGuire, now she is with Ashton Kutcher... ;D

FWIW Hans plays a character called "Angus". Thanks to Barb webmistress of Henry Ian Cusick's Offical Site for the info www.HenryIanCusick.comAnd he is the lighthouse keeper apparently. That's all I know about the role except ... he rides a horse? Bareback? let me guess... he rescues Demi from a high tide that was going to strand her an the sandbank? That's what happens in all the British seaside stories I've read from Enid Blyton to Mary Wesley and Rosamunde Pilcher (Yes I confess - so shoot me)

This person who appears with Demi Moore in the pictures is Hans Matheson or is Henry Ian Cusick?

It's Hans in the pics (Thanks to FoolofaTook) for this scan from, of all places, Australia's Who Weekly magazine) Is it just me or do these pics look rather like the pics of I Am Dina, only a fishing rod instead of a gun. Henry Ian Cusick plays Brian - I guess he hasn't had any outdoor shots with Demi. His site has plenty comprehensive info on Half Light - but no pics yet!

Thanks Virgil! I think that character "Angus" will be the villain in the movie. Therefore, if Henry Ian Cusick will interpret the main role, probably his character will be the "hero" of history, and he will make "romantic pair" with Demi Moore. Well, if Angus will be a psychopath in the movie, probably will die, as it is of custom in this type of movie.

......or maybe Angus the lighthouse keeper is the silent local loner who turns out to be the hero in the end? Saves Demi and rides into the sunset with her while the waves come crashing in..... Oh somebody stop me please! Ha ha! I'm so pathetic....

i think you're on the right track Cina I see Angus as the reclusive lighthouse keeper who's regarded as a bit of an oddball by the locals as he's happy just fishing (and playing his guitar?) So when he pals up with Demi, the locals and her friends in particular are scandalised - a la I Am Dina only this time she's the needy one. I see Brian ( the Henry Ian Cusick character) as either the husband -or ex-husband- of Demi or the wife of the best friend. I reckon he's the baddie. Maybe they separated and he lost the son in a custody battle and then decided to punish her by 'removing' every one she loves OK I need therapy As long as it doesn't turn out that the son was actually abducted by aliens

I read in a site of Brazil that the movie "Half Light" mixes suspense with supernatural elements. In this type of movie or a psychopath exists and murderous the people and in the end we discover that was a psychopath and not one "devilish spirit" or seemed thing, or exists a "devilish espirit", that is, the truily supernatural element. Being a thing or another one, it does not matter, somebody dies in the movie. I hope that Angus nor either the psychopath, nor the victim of the "supernatural element".

hi ... Henry Ian Cusick's webmaster here ... how is everyone? Just wanted to say that I'm enjoying reading all the discussion/speculation here and that right now I'm in the same boat ... all I know about your guy's and mine's roles are the character names and that they're both "leading" roles. Oh, yeah, and that "Angus" is the lighthouse keeper. I don't even have a clue so far as to who/what "Brian" is. I've learned that Henry tends to not like to give me a lot of info about his roles, I think because he feels that spoils it for me and everyone as viewers. I can understand that, and in many ways that's a good thing ... but as webmaster/fan/curious, it's frustrating all the same! So ... if I learn anything more along the way, it will probably be from things reported in the media. Other words, you'll all likely know before or soon as me. Well at least all you Hans fans have pics from the filming! All the best, Barb www.HenryIanCusick.com

Hans fans, I dunno ... you may want to write to IN TOUCH Weekly mag and fuss at 'em for not only failing to mention him in their Demi/Half Light article in this week's issue ... but also for wrongly identifying Henry as the guy in the photo of Demi and Hans on the horse. Jennifers Lopez and Garner on the cover ... the article is mostly about the 5000 mi. separation between Demi and Ashton while she's filming the movie. Big pic of Demi ... smaller one of Demi and Hans on horse ... smaller one yet of HIC's color headshot. They should've checked who was who .. then Hans would've been named and identified! Mag's web site is at www.intouchweekly.com, though appears you have to have the mag to see the article. Peace (and cross-fertilization! lol), Barb
