Actually the first season of The Tudors will be on Foxtel sometime soon - on Showcase! So, I won't be getting it. But I think it's one of those things I watch for Hans and give a miss otherwise.
But I'm really interested to see how he'll interpret Cranmer. The more I read, the more it seems perfect - divine casting!
But the Matheson Mafia will be quicker. I'm guessing. That's what TIVO is for!

I'm hunting for a HD set top box - that's more important than Foxtel!

I can't watch his interview on my computer. The video stops every two seconds. What does he say?

Well slap my grandma...loved seeing the preview! About time us peasants here in the States get to see Hans without waiting. I purchased a SONY Bravia 40" HD tv at Christmas time, and when I read Hans was going to be in The Tudors, I subscribed to Showtime. Watched the entire first season in 2 days! Can't wait...yipee ay oh, yipee ay aaaaaaaaaaa!

Hmm...It is the same problem here - I can catch only a few words like "argument", "matter", "divorce" ...not perfect. Help please! And yes... getting older suits him well ...

Just solved MY problem! On my desktop I was able to watch the video smoothly but couldn't get sound. On the laptop, it kept stopping- as you describe.
I just found out that there're volume control buttons on the top of my keyboard and the other day when I dusted (Yes, I actually cleaned my keyboard) I must have shifted the volume control to zero and no matter how i fiddled with the speakers, connections, device managers etc It made no difference.
But problem solved; he says
"His argument in the great matter - in the divorce - is what really kicks things off" and later he says
"All these characters were needed for the reformation to happen"
Check you have the latest version of Flash I think it's 9 and the video may go more smoothly. Surely someone will haveit up on Youtube soon

Thank you Virg! I had understood the "kicks" but I hadn't the whole sentence. I like the glimpses we catch of him in the video. It's short, but interesting. I like his face when he's talking with the other Thomas (Cromwell). I can't wait to see this series 2! I should try and install the latest version of Flash. Maybe it will work better. Thank you for the advice Virg.

IMDb has updated Hans's page. "The Tudors" .... Thomas Cranmer (1 épisode, 2008) - Episode #2.1 (2008) TV episode .... Thomas CranmerThe next episodes are not listed yet, but they will probably soon. Do we know how many episodes he has shot? There were 10 episodes in the first series, right? I hope he'll be in all the episodes.

cap by Zita I'm sure they will gradually update the IMdb pages over the next few weeks, and also the official Showtime site - can't be too long before there are some promotional stills, publicity photos etc. They seem to be adding about one new video clip per week. My guess is that the next one will be about Peter O'Toole.

according to now two sources, Cramner will pop up in the first episode of Tudors series 2 on March 30. So far that is all TUDORS, THE: EPISODE #201 (TVMA - VSD) either site is listing, but seems inevitable there will be more.
In episode 201, the second season premiere, the Reformation begins as Henry breaks with the Catholic Church and declares himself head of the Church of England; a cook is blackmailed into poisoning a high-ranking bishop, then boiled alive for his crime; Anne's insistence leads to Henry breaking all contact with Katherine and banishing her from the court.

Thomas Cranmer had much part in court's life until his death - outlasting Henry VIII - so it makes me hoping in series 3 and Hans' coming in sight. Cranmer was also godfather for Henry VIII's daughter, Elizabeth. I read a touching article about Cranmer's death - just a part of it I quote: Coming to the stake with a cheerful countenance and willing mind, he put off his garments with haste, and stood upright in his shirt: and bachelor of divinity, named Elye, of Brazen-nose college, labored to convert him to his former recantation, with the two Spanish friars. And when the friars saw his constancy, they said in Latin to one another 'Let us go from him: we ought not to be nigh him: for the devil is with him.' But the bachelor of divinity was more earnest with him: unto whom he answered, that, as concerning his recantation, he repented it right sore, because he knew it was against the truth; with other words more. Whereby the Lord Williams cried, 'Make short, make short.' Then the bishop took certain of his friends by the hand. But the bachelor of divinity refused to take him by the hand, and blamed all the others that so did, and said, he was sorry that ever he came in his company. And yet again he required him to agree to his former recantation. And the bishop answered, (showing his hand), 'This was the hand that wrote it, and therefore shall it suffer first punishment.' Fire being now put to him, he stretched out his right hand, and thrust it into the flame, and held it there a good space, before the fire came to any other part of his body; where his hand was seen of every man sensibly burning, crying with a loud voice, 'This hand hath offended.' As soon as the fire got up, he was very soon dead, never stirring or crying all the while. The whole article can be read here: www.englishhistory.net/tudor/pcranmer.htmlCan you imagine Hans in this scene? I certainly can - but hardly like this:
