Actually James Franco is in production on something else this Summer, and Eliot Cowan will be Stanley at the Donmar.

Which is highly annoying for me cos I found out last week I'd be working this show! Bugger! Ah well, when I finally get round to directing my own stuff I'll make sure I find something to cast Hans in lol!

I don't know... Hans may not be playing Stanley this Summer, but he is already shooting TITANS which, though not live performance, is in a medium everyone who can read this will be able to see! And hey work is never bad, right?... Particularly at Donmar! Enjoy it!

In the NEON Profile of Hans under Coming Soon there is mention of The Martin Amis Project (aka Dead Babies). Was he in talk for the Paul Bettany role? Never heard of this film. When one reads the mixed comments, maybe it's better he didn't get cast/ didn't accept this role.
Kris Marshall, two times co-star is also in it.

I am seriously displeased.

Those of you who have been around a while know that I've always said Hans should play Heathcliff. And then I thought Gemma Arterton would make a great Cathy.

I was disappointed when Tom Hardy was cast as Heathcliff in Coky Giedroyc's TV version.

I was disappointed when Michael Fassbender was cast alongside Natalie Portman in the new movie version. Then Natalie Portman pulled out and the project went into hiatus. Hope remained. (Of course, I do acknowledge the possibility that Hans isn't interested in playing Heathcliff!)

Now I read that Gemma arterton has in fact been given the role! Hooray. Cause for jubilation. Reported by Baz Bamigboye, so fairly reliable.

But wait! Can this really be true? Who have they cast as Heathcliff?

Why, Ed Westwick, Chuck from Gossip Girls. How can they do this? I know he is one of those guys who've appeared in the "Looks like Hans" threads both here and on IMDb but why not have the real thing?

I know he's the big name to draw the American teens but seriously.

My niece has a Chuck doll.

Not sure why he's not in the cast. Maybe it was an error or maybe he had scheduling confilghts. Maybe he just pulled out. Good choice if he did cos it wasn't a great movie. It's also called Mood Swingers - I think that's the title I saw. No great loss.

I'm reading a book called 'surrender' by amanda quick. Admittedly the first chapter was like Mills & Boon set 150 yrs ago, but once I got past that bit, It's actually very good. The 'Bad Boy' lord Stonevale would be perfectly played by Hans. If you were to draw on the whole Alec D'Urberville type affair, that is. Hmm....Me thinks GG should consider some film adaptation with our Hans as Lord Lucas Stonevale?? Oooh! This is going to be another sleepless night! ;D
