I bid on the book on eBay but could only afford a maximum of £41 with the £3.50 postage but lost out at the last minute. I just signed on before and saw I'd got a second chance offer for it so I managed to get it for £41 so I'm so excited!!

Laura, do email kennymunro directly and ask for a copy. It will be easier, less time consuming, and he is a really nice guy! Anyway, if you're going to give your money to someone, better the cause itself than someone unconnected to it on ebay.

Did you try through his website first?! He,s smart putting it on ebay where the bidding will get him more, perhaps, than the donations they ask for on his site. Maybe another copy will pop up again on ebay, foe those still wanting a copy. Congrats Laura - and happy fishing! Glad you got it in the end!

No I just went straight to eBay, I'd have offered something around the £40 mark anyway, and it all goes to a good cause so it's money well spent. Thanks Gg!

Hi Laura, thanks for bidding on the book - I hope you're pleased with it. The initial offer prior to Christmas was for books signed and dedicated by Hans. At the same time, Hans signed additional copies for me "Best wishes from Hans Matheson" which I put on eBay. There is another one on now for anyone who is interested. The money all goes toward an ongoing clinical trial for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which is being funded by the UK charity Action Duchenne so it is all for a worthwhile cause.
