Those pictures are pretty funny Virg! How much of a tourist did you feel taking those!? I of course admire your brazen willingness to both snap the shot and your kindness in sharing them! But as to the the review Lynette, critics don't always know the whole story... chud.com/articles/articles/23299/1/BY-ZEUS-THE-VERSION-OF-CLASH-OF-THE-TITANS-YOU-DIDN039T-SEE/Page1.htmlyou can't really assign blame when you are disappointed in something (particularly if your expectations may have been set too high), on people who's motivations you can not actually see, but only speculate on... a directors cut is being considered and perhaps we will see what his original intentions were, as well as the screenwriters. It is a studio film, afterall, and WB gets to make the final cut. It's got to be said though, that anyone who takes this kind of film too seriously, has, apparently, earnestness to waste. If there is a directors cut, I hope we will have more time with the characters. It would be nice to take for granted that you know their names by mid-plot.

A review from Hungary - not really flattering or serious: 8 reasons to attend your man to the "Clash of the Titans"1. You may expect from him to attend you to Sex and New York 2. 2. 3D specs perfectly covers when you sleep during the film. Do not snore! 3. Sam Worthington is a handsome guy, and ancient greeks haven't had the habit of wearing too many clothes... 4. With a little luck you can get your man to invite you for dinner as a compensation. 5. The film works as a greek mythological crash-course - though there are a few things that don't follow the legends truly - e.g. Kraken is a creature of Northern mythology. 6. Popcorn/nachos/coke are delicious - even though the film is not really for you... 7. If you are into fantasy, after Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter it is a chance to get acquainted with a newcomer. 8. Legendary co-stars of Schindler's List can be seen together again. (Rated 2/5... )

that's actually kinda funny! Hey, they can't all be period pieces and romantic comedies! Somehow, I don't think COTT's demographic was meant to be "multi-cultural, women, aged 15-45"...

this review rang true for me: If you’ve never seen the original version of Clash of the Titans, you’re missing out on one of the most endearingly awful films ever made. When I discovered a remake was being made, I was both surprised and delighted—Like so many other guilty pleasure movies, it’s always a bit shocking to discover you’re not alone in thinking it’s fabulous (Especially if by “fabulous” we mean “fabulously bad”). So it was that I went into my viewing of the remake not with the expectation of a fast-paced action film, but rather total cheesiness. Clash of the Titans is now, as ever, an indulgence. It isn’t as obvious in the remake as the original, but the movie is not meant to be taken seriously. At its heart, it is wild childhood imagination sprung to life and run rampant, full of sword fights and magical creatures and so many things adults would frown upon because they’re just too darned silly. If you can acknowledge that it’s not supposed to be high art and just let yourself go along for the ride, it’s fun. It’s never going to be a great movie, is always going to be d**ned ridiculous, but that’s the point. filmikaze.com/index.php/2010/04/clash-of-the-titans-2010/

I agree with this part of the review you posted Gg. For me, this sentence really does sum up COTT perfectly.

You can now vote online for the National Movie Awards which are being held on 26th May 2010. Clash of the Titans and Sherlock Holmes are in a fair few of the categories, needless to say I've already voted. Visit www.nationalmovieawards.com to vote.

I'm going to go to the cinema this afternoon because I've finally got a day off since starting my new job and can't decide whether to go and see 'Dear John' or see 'Clash of the Titans' again. Dear John is on at 3 and Clash at 3.20 so I may just decide when I get there - I could do with cheering up so maybe Clash purely for the flute scene.

What did you go and see in the end Laura? I've been to see Clash again just to get my Hans fix and I love the flute scene just the expression on his face he looks really cute, even thinking about it makes me smile. Aww bless

I went to see Clash of the Titans. Like you I was in need of a Hans fix especially on the big screen. The flute scene still made me giggle, I enjoyed the film more the second time around.
