Welcome to 2011 everyone. Here's hoping it brings health and happiness to you all, and a year free from personal grief and sorrow, bad luck and stress. And let's hope for a world where we care for our environment and our fellow man.
I write this from a place that's having the lon gest drought on record and yet the other half of my nation, having now survived that drought, is now suffering flooding. And the northern countries seem to be experiencing snow like never before. Let's look after our planet, people.
On a more forum-specific note, we started 2010 on a high, with Sherlock Holmes seeing our biggest hope, Hans on the big screen at our local multiplex, being experienced. Visits to the site soared and remained high with the release of Clash of the Titans. Even though Hans' role was small and the movie itself, disappointed, it was nonetheless in the top ten grossing movies of 2010. And visits to the site maintained steady through most of 2010.
But following on from that, there has been no news of future roles for Hans, and no news at all. The economic woes of the British film industry being as they are, this probably isn't just specific to Hans but it does seem as if 2011 might be a quiet year.
However our loyal followers continue to support the site and as long as there are viewers out there watching some of Hans classic roles there will be interest. We at Hans Matheson Online thank you for your continued support of the site and the forum and the help, support and friendship you give to new visitors. Bless you all and have a reat 2011
Particular thanks to g who in a difficult year for her personally has agreed to take over the major burden of running the site as I move into the background. It is a major reief to have the site remain in dedicated hands.

My best hopes that 2011 comes with happiness and global conciousness to all. Hans is probably performing the most important role: his own life. 35 is a crucial, a redifining age. It's when we recharge batteries for the future. I hope he is doing excellent, I wish him all the best. I feel so happy to have found this site, where everyone is so friendly and I can share my admiration for the great actor Hans Matheson. HAPPY NEW YEAR FELIZ AÑO NUEVO

Hans will have new projects, I believe. If not, he is entitled to his own private life. And for him is privacy more important than career, I think. I wish him this year only the best, no matter what and for how he chooses.

And thanks, as ever, for your support and encouragement. You all must know that taking on the "burden" of maintaining the site isn't one, because of Virgil's epic efforts, from the creation, and our lovely little community. It is of course my admiration and love for everyone involved that I am happy to do my little part, share the news we get, carouse with some lovely people and being the best mafioso I can manage to be . A blessing to have somewhere to escape and take a breath, many days this last strange, holy year. Happy New Year everyone, "old" and newbie! And, of course, sending out a happy thought of hope to the Universe that Hans finds some happiness in work and life this year.

Happy Halloween 2011!
I know this tradition isn't celebrated everywhere, but I often am curious about holidays I don't get to celebrate living in the country I do. So let me encourage everybody to share your celebrations and their traditions, whatever they maybe.
We hand out candy to little kiddies dressed as ghoulies, superheros, princesses and fairies, when they knock on our doors and scream "trick or treat". The traditions have altered over the years, but my favorite depiction of it is the turn of the (20th) century version in the Judy Garland film "Meet Me in St Louis". I'll be the "black swan" this year -- if I get out of work in time... Monday night is a hard time to celebrate a usually rowdy holiday
